Love this place for breakfast/ brunch. Great patio in the back. Food is classic breakfast food, America and Latin. Service is great as well

Omg!!! It was such a great time here at Cafe Con Leche!!!! Great music. Our server was so kind and very sweet. The FOOD OMG….so delicious. We had the yuca fries and plátano maduro. Yuca fries were fried to perfection and the maduros were sweet with a little crisp just the way I like it. I also had the house Margarita and they did not disappoint. Our entree was the ropa vieja and let me tell you it was so delicious. Will be visiting again very soon.

Fantastic breakfast options. Fast service. More seating available than it looks.

We were in Chicago for a little four-day vacation. Hungry for breakfast on a Wednesday afternoon, we popped into Cafe Con Leche for some grub.It was packed inside, but we got a table quickly. Our waiter was wearing a mask, but most employees were not. It’s May 2022, though, so not mandatory.I ordered the Veggie Burrito. My partner ordered the Croissant Sandwich (minus cheese). Both dishes came out quickly and very hot. The potatoes came with both and were a very generous portion—as was the whole meal. Flavorful and not greasy. We loved them. The burrito and sandwich were both tasty. Good portions, well constructed, very fresh. The price matched the value. The only downside was how hot it was inside. It was a cool, breezy day, and it had to be 80 degrees in there. I am a cold person, so I was fine. I just took off my hoodie. It may have been a fluke that day? Not sure. All in all, we’d eat there again!

I went to dinner with 3 family members on Easter Sunday. All Four of us had different entree's that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. I started with a Manhattan and others had the house margaritas which were very good. The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. We had the chips and guacamole which I thought was a bit shy of adequate amount of guac but plenty of chips. The Salmon dish was so good I had gotten a taste. Two of us had the skirt steak which were delicious tender and flavorful. The last dish was a pork entree which I also tasted and was so good! I've been here a few times and will keep coming back! I love that there is parking in the rear that you can enter off of Milwaukee Ave.

Excellent and friendly service, the food and drinks are real good- personal favorite being Cafe con Leche (not pictured). These are veggie omelette and chilaquiles. The empanadas are amazing too!

Stopped in for breakfast on a Monday morning. There was a nice calming atmosphere in the establishment. The servers were polite and quick! The huevos con chorizo was bomb! Definitely coming back.

Fantastic food! It’s not just a small cafe for good coffee, they have a sizable menu, and 2 dining areas. I like it for brunch and lunch. Mostly Latin, with Mexican style foods and salsa, and also classic American breakfast foods. The ceviche is great, also enchiladas. The flan is good!Pictured is the Denver omelette with potatoes, and a favorite dish: chilaquiles (it’s eggs, skirt steak, tortilla chips, salsa verde). Both were excellent and generous portions. There is some parking behind the restaurant as well.

Luis was a great server! We wanted a quick breakfast but we stayed more because he was really great so if you want to have brunch time and drinks go to cafe con leche and ask for him
