Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had!
So happy we have this Burke’s in our neighborhood. The staff is so welcoming (feels like Cheers when we arrive), and the food is always tasty. Not to mention the great bevs and vibe. Just a heads up, the kitchen can be slow, so make sure you’ve got extra time for eats.
I have not tried the food here but the drinks are very fairly priced and the bartender is happy to make drinks to your liking. It has a traditional pub atmosphere unlike many of the other bars nearby.
Used to love coming here with my pup until this last visit. Everyone I’ve met here has been super nice and accommodating with outdoor seating with my dog. I have always asked if it is ok to sit outside before sitting down, and the response has always been almost like they’re offended I would even ask. Just sit down! Enjoy yourself! Just like a neighborhood spot should be. Tonight I saw the outdoor server with his hands full giving plates of food to a large table. He looked right at me and saw me. So keeping to how friendly this place usually is about sitting outside, I decided to get me and my pup out of his way and grab a table. In the meantime another couple was seating themselves when they happened to get the server’s attention as he was returning to the seating area. He was super friendly about letting them sit wherever. Then as he approached my table, he made it a point to raise his voice and declare for all to hear that I need to check for seating before taking a table. Let’s just forget about the fact that he literally saw me or that I was intentionally making space for him. Let’s also forget about the fact that he literally just let others sit who were already on their way to taking a table but for the fact that he happened to walking back over to the seating area and saw them. There are literally a million ways to approach my situation without making a public scene over it. I was embarrassed and told him I do not need to be lectured on seating protocols. If outdoor seating is closed, just say that. Otherwise post a sign for outdoor seating procedures so you don’t make your customers look stupid in front of other people. Needless to say the pup and I left, and it’s doubtful I’ll return again.
Best wings I’ve had in or around Andersonville / Edgewater (very unique flavor, a slight buffalo taste but heavy on the cayenne and garlic, quite nice). Really friendly staff and a great vibe, quintessential Chicago neighborhood bar. Will definitely be back
Good clean and peaceful ambiance outside summer and Tuesday-Thursday Happy hours from 4-6 PM CST is good opt for pricing and enjoying
Love this place! Always a chill but friendly and warm vibe. I hosted my graduation party here and they were wonderful to work with! Also a great spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The staff makes the place great, and this place never disappoints!
I’ve been here twice. The bartender or waitress have turned on my game each time and the food here is amazing! Love this place and can’t wait to go back
I saw a comedy show there once but had to leave early because all of my kids who were at home started vomiting. The show was great and the bar was great. Well Def go back.
Nice place. I had the Southwestern Egg rolls they were okay. Reasonable priced and staff was awesome.
