What an amazing place! We had the ribs, brisket which just melted in the mouth and the burger was amazing, fried pickle and atomic fries absolutely stunning food! Staff were friendly and service was decent.
Ordered the Pitmaster Combo Plate with some waffle fries.Enjoyed the brisket and baby back ribs but the pulled pork was a little dry. The two different bbq sauces you get with the meal was tasty and enjoyed the other sides.There’s plenty of seating inside and out and they show live sport too. I’d come back and try other stuff on the menu if I was in the area.
We found Bub City while walking along Clark Street, looking for lunch. My daughter had been here before for dinner and recognized it and recommended it. It was lunch time and kind of early, so we were one the first people there that day...first to sit outside at least. Staff was very friendly. There was a lot of BBQ selections to choose from. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich...delicious. Wife had half rack of ribs, which were even better! Meat fell off the bones and was tender and flavorful. They specialize in whiskeys, so if you like whiskey, you'd love this place. Unfortunately for us, it was too early to be drinking like that, but would love to come back at night. Looks like this place would be lots of fun.
My husband and I came here during happy hour on a Tuesday while on vacation. It was quiet, mostly empty. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive without feeling pushy or like she was at our table too much. The food was great. We split an order of the smoked wings with Nashville hot sauce, then got a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was hot and delicious! Our waitress did mention (when we asked) they have live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and that it does get very busy those nights. Overall I would definitely recommend!
We came here after dinner with a bunch of business colleagues. The atmosphere here is definitely full of energy, even on the weeknights. The drinks were well made and the service was very good. They have plenty of space so bring the whole group!

BEST RIBS EVER!We‘re looking for a nice restaurant which offers Ribs in Chicago. Thanks to Google we found Bub City. The ribs and chicken wings were the best we ever had. The meat has fallen from the bone and tasted delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful and we‘ll come back.
I had never heard of this restaurant before I received two gift cards from a friend. What an awesome place this is. I had the brisket sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. My friend had chicken and ribs, and my other friend had the salmon. I would highly recommend coming to this restaurant for good food and good service. Try the fried pickles too!
It is a another great restaurant under LEY, we have been coming here since it opened, mostly for brunch and occasional dinner. I am updating this review since the menu has changed some after COVID.The BBQ is always good, not the best we have tried but it surpasses Chicago Q since that place ran down hills. I liked the old days when they put all of the sauces on the table, the special BLT sandwich for brunch, the bread pudding... but that is no longer the case. The main BBQ items are still the same on the menu, my favorite nachos, burgers, chicken and waffles etc. I definitely recommend the nachos to share, and the burnt ends to start. As for brunch, biscuits and gravy. The fried chicken items and grits are just ok for me, nothing special, I would go elsewhere for that.The alcohol selection is large and stays true to the southern theme, live music and sports on TVs, pretty standard bar setup.
Great place, delicious food and drinks, and the best server we've ever had. This is both mine and my wife's favorite place ever. We shared brisket, ribs, salmon... all kinds of stuff. All I can say was we loved this place and are planning on returning with our best friends asap.
