Chicken was dry, rice was over cooked and the plátano frito was dry and tough. This place can be very good sometimes but they need to be consistent.

Unfortunately my experience was bad. The waitress changed my order and I didn't realize it.It is terrible to eat wrong foodI requested ketchup and mayonnaise and she forgot them. The bill was delayed too. This girl has memory problem

I visited on a Friday, around 1 pm. There was plenty of on-street parking and not too far from the L station on the Brown line. I found the seating area about half full and all remaining tables cleaned and ready for their next occupants. The design of the seating area showcases the charcoal chicken rotisserie in the front window, and quaint village house fronts around the rest of the visible areas. This is much nicer than the same restaurant I visited (across the street) about 10 years ago.As for the food, I am familiar with many of the tradtional Colombian dishes offered, and chose the "Matrimonio", which is a mix of churrasco and pollo a la plancha. It comes with a potato, fried yuca, and plátano maduro (ripe plantain). Since I don't care for ripe plantain, I asked for tostones (fried green plantain) instead, and this was readily substituted. The food arrived quickly and correctly, and the portions were quite substantial. Best of all, it was absolutely delicious! They provided each entree with a souffle cup of chimichurri, which was well seasoned and provided a perfect foil to the rich beef and chicken, and even with the sides. They also provided a bottle of house-made "aji" or hot sauce upon request. It was barely hot "hot sauce", but I did not expect it to be overly spicy, as Colombian food tends to be less adventurous among other Latino styles. The bottom line is that I would highly recommend this location - there are several others in the city - and will be back on my next visit to Chicago.

Excellent price and portions. Food was “basic” (according to the babe)… I say it was just beyond bland. The chimichurri was “basic” needed a pop of something (cumin, mint, etc) to liven it up. Food was good though.

Excellent place : delicious food and very good market, perfect combo! The atmosphere is great and the hosts very welcoming, perfect to chill and enjoy a great meal alone or with friends (do not listen to sad and clueless flakes who just complain about the fact that no vaccination certificate is required to sit)

Amazing experience! First time eating Colombian food and was not disappointed. Service was impeccable and very charming. Food was fresh and nicely presented. Would recommend 10/10

Amazing food, good service and nice decor. We had the chicken and the steak and they were both excellent. We'll definitely be back.

No vaccination card, no entry. I guess that’s fine but there is skinny grumpy old mad that alwaysssss has a bad attitude towards customers. We’ve came here before twice & unfortunately we always get him. Food is ok but customer service sucks

Always order take out from here. Really happy with the quality of the food. Prices are very reasonable for the portions that you get. Matrimonio dinner is my go to all the time and would highly recommend it.

Great food, great service. Will be back again soon.
