The food is great and the prices are right. Don't be put off by the knuckleheads complaining because they didn't carry cash into a fast food restaurant, or the t*t babies who got their order a tiny bit wrong. Best beef sandwich around and the rest of the food is great as well. Nice people to boot.
Stopped in for the first time on a Saturday evening. Ordered a double hot dog, with mustard, relish, and onions. Fries are included. Fresh cut fries are incredible and the dogs were great. Stop in and fuve it a try. Probably one of the best on the NW Side.
THIS IS THE HIP JOINT. Jesus mercy me I had one of their hamburgers with fries, screamed in pleasure it was that good. Sitting by the window with my biddy watching cars go by was such a vibe I felt like the main character. Go here now, so you can brag to people that you know a good little restaurant in the city only real chicagoans know.

Love their burgers and those delicious “real” French fries (which are never cold or greasy!) Their cooks are very hard working and always get the orders right. Everything is always wrapped up nicely, if you’re ordering “to go.”
I've been eating there since the grand opening always had great food and great service every single time I don't know any other places you can say that about always love it thank you for keeping great food and great memories alive
Think there was too much hype which this place didn't live up to. Maybe it was an off day? I got the trio and a hotdog. I shouldve just got the Italian beef. Didn't think the fries were anything special either. I'd still give it another shot given the chance
I love these neighborhood hot dog joints throughout Chicago and Bob-O's is one of the best I've had. The fresh cut fries were soo good and I had a cheezy beef with sweet peppers and its was big and good! Only thing, if you're coming to Bob-O's, it is cash only, so be prepared!!
The experience I had here the last time was definitely not a good one, which is close to something worse, but I still decided to come back just recently. I must say that the experience I had was way better than the last time. The store is clean and bright, and it is not busy. The staff are nicer and friendlier, which is really nice because if the staff I talked to were rude, I would not have ordered a single thing. This restaurant is really a good one, and it's a good thing that their staff are also better now. They do not offer much on their menu, but everything I could ask for is there, including sandwiches, hotdogs, fries, and anything. I got myself one of their hot dogs, which is really my favorite thing on their menu, and it is really good. I also ordered their fresh-cut fries, which were really good too, and they were crispy. However, they were kind of burnt, which is why there was an aftertaste that I did not really appreciate. Their prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of their food. An important note is that they only accept cash.
It's a great little place!!! My first time there, and I ordered chili..... something I'm very particular about, and I wish I'd ordered a bigger cup!!!!! Nice and clean with the exception of a bathroom to wash hands.
