After eating a lot of meat yesterday, I’ve decided to have a vegan lunch at Bloom. I thought it was going to be a pretentious vegan restaurant with small portions, expensive prices, etc. But I was so wrong! It’s reasonably priced and the food is delicious!Vegan Kale Salad: I had zero expectations that the salad was going to be the best salad I’ve ever had! I don’t like salads at all but this is just one of the exceptions! It’s fresh, crunchy, peppery, nutty and flavorful. The salad was also well dressed; the dressing isn’t watery and it clings to the kale really well! My only complaint is that it’s a bit too salty, so maybe easy on the salt next time.Mushroom Sandwich with Fries: Fries could use another swim at the deep fryer, it’s a bit soggy. The mushroom sandwich was delicious but it’s a bit too tangy for me, the pickled veggies and the sambal mayo was just a bit over powering. I wish there was more mushroom in my sandwich though.Ambiance: Peaceful and calm. I love my windowless seat.Staff: The hostess and waitress were friendly, nice, accommodating and sweet. For a non vegan person like myself, I’d definitely come back here and even recommend this to my friends and family!By the way, the wallpaper in the bathroom is cute! Hard not to take a photo!

Wow, pleasant surprise! My friend and I had a food day in the city, hopping from one spot to another. We ended our day at Bloom for dinner. It wasn't on my radar at all but my friend was recommended this spot for a plant-based meal. Needless to say, we saved the best for last! The atmosphere is very livery and the space is wonderfully decorated. We came on a Wednesday evening without reservations and got a spot without any issues but it definitely filled up towards the end of the night. Free wifi, scan QR code for the menu. The food was outstanding! We ordered the following to split:- Truffle beet tart (not too earthy from the beet, great combo of soft and crunchy between the creamy cheese and the outside cracker)- Buji waffle sticks (amazing flavor, complex! I wouldn't have ordered this on my own and so glad we got it - definitely recommend)- Baja taco (tasty breading, my first time eating banana blossom)- Shroom & chorizo flatbread (seems like a classic here, very good! The coconut mozzarella is impressive and melty)- Coffee break (my preferred dessert - very coffee-forward, nice contrast between the creamy mousse and crunchy hazelnuts; the caramel didn't stand out to me much)- Camote cheesecake (my friends' preferred dessert, reminded me of a sweet potato pie on Thanksgiving)I can't wait to return here again! This is finer dining without completely breaking the bank - so worth it to treat yourself to this culinary experience and beautiful presentation.

Poutine mushroom Ragu tasted like straight up chili con carne. It was quite good. The texture and temperature of the fries could be improved.Beet flatbread not too bad. It’s like a small pie slice of pizza. I don’t even like beets in general. I might not get it again. Some goat cheese on top wouldn’t hurt. The ceviche is sweet and spicy. Very good.Cashew e pepe pasta was tasty. Who could ever guess the pasta is made of kelp.Pastelon lasagna is very good. Strong wonderful sweet tomato taste. I could eat this instead of meat lasagna any day.I generally do not like panna cotta. The orangey sauce was delicious on this one.

I found out about this place thru Chicago's restaurant week. It's just wonderful to walk into an all plant based restaurant. I ordered from the $39 3 course dinner option and my friend who was a little hungrier ordered from the $55 4 course option. My main course was the Caribbean Jack consisting of braised jackfruit, yuca mofongo, burnt vegetable demi glaze and sundried tomato chimichurri. It did not disappoint. They have SO many delicious choices. We will definitely be coming back to try more. I also really like that they have non-alcoholic beverage choices (other than soda). I had the Vybes peach ginger cbd drink. It was tasty. Our server Andy was informative and gracious. The restaurant is in the trendy Wicker Park neighborhood that has a hipster vibe. I totally recommend coming here.

Overall a great experience! The food was delicious and well seasoned. Could have definitely fooled me on some of the dairy and meat replacements. As a meat eater, I did not leave Bloom feeling like I missed out on anything. The potatoes and beet flatbread were the favorites of the night. Would recommend to anyone regardless of diet.

I’ve been vegan for 6+ years and I have to say this is my favorite restaurant yet! Really amazing food and worth every penny. Every dish is perfectly seasoned and balanced, and you feel good after eating it.

This omnivore urges all non-vegans to waste no time in making a reservation at Bloom! Food was creative and delicious and my only criticism is the small size of the cheese plate.

6 course experience was amazing

Mushroom and waffles are the best. Pancakes were a little rough. Really hard to get that right when you're subbing in most ingredients.

The Service was amazing so was the food. Can’t wait to come back for more!
