Got here early enough to snag the lunch special. The arepas and empanitas are mouth watering. I got cheese and shredded beef in the empanitas and I could’ve eaten 10. The chicken in the arepa was tender and juicy. But the real winner is the garlic sauce which I could’ve drank. Can’t wait to visit again to try more of the menu!
They were delicious traditional Venezuelan arepas, which are jam packed with a delicious stuffing. There are so many amazing choices on the menu to choose from ranging from $10 to $16 /each. One arepa is perfect for one person. Make sure you don't miss out on the awesome appetizers! They have a great appetizer sampler to try all they have to offer! Don't forget to bring your bottle of wine as it is BYOB. They do have some cool traditional Venezuelan drinks to try out. Overall, an excellent, tasty experience with options for all dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerant).
Everyone there was so friendly and patient deciding on what to try for my 1st time here. Food was so fresh and hearty. Steak was phenomenal and thick. Not shy at all with the fresh avocado slices. Can’t wait to bring my daughter here for the experience. New favorite spot. Mind you I live in Oakbrook so it’s worth the drive! Won’t regret it
We wanted to try something romantic and new outside our usual. Outstanding amazing quality fresh ingredients hot piping food made to order. great customer service from our waiter who explained everything on the menu. Definitely now in my top three favorite restaurants
Great Venezuelan food! Arepas are very tasty, my favorite is “churrasco”. I tried their ceviche and it was fresh and delicious!Good portions, reasonable price and excellent service.
Awesome food and an amazing ambiance check them out would be awesome in the summer too
I love the arepas here! The first time I had arepas was a place called Doggy's in Miami, they were so yum! This is the only place I found in Chicago that has arepas. I'm not sure the specific name to mine, but it had shrimp. It was delicious! The ceviche and the drinks were yummy as well. I always go back when I'm in the mood!
Great food, I will be back for lunch again and again.
My son and I stopped in for a snack and it was delicious! All the great places to eat are off of Michigan Ave. Take time to explore! I will definitely attempt making Arepas at home. These things were so dang tasty.
Very friendly staff and excellent presentation on the plates for a cafe. I wasn't a big fan of the food though. The crispy bread was extremely oily and the cold sandwich had amount of unmelted cheese. The portion was very generous but the chicken salad sandwich itself just wasn't that good. The mixed plantain platter was better but I've had better at other restaurants similarly priced.
