Good food but really slow service

Had a delightful dining experience at Apolonia tonight. Caitria gave excellent service and her recommendations were spot on.i had yhe black truffle puff bread, tonight's pasta with lamb, pickled fennel, shaved pecarino, on bucatini pasta. The interesting ingredient was cinnamon. I wasn't sure at first but the taste grew on me. For dessert, the egg custard with almond and rose. The best was the delicate honey Gelato served with the egg custard. Lovely cool and not too sweet.

I love this place. The food is by far the best I've had. The cauliflower is my favorite! And the pasta is just awesome! Also I loved how the natural light made the whole place so bright and warm. Will definitely go back!

Delicious small plates in a lovely, warm space. My friend and I agreed that the black truffle puff bread definitely lived up to the hype. I also loved the flavors of the mussel toast. The budino was a solid dessert, though I found it somewhat unimaginative. Nonetheless, the meal was a great value and well deserving of a Bib Gourmand. I highly recommend!

Very bright open space in south loop! It’s busy and good service tried quite a few things on menu on Sunday brunch1. Juice is good I doubt it was freshly squeezed so will say go for mimosa is better choice2. Loved the garlic truffle bread really good!3. Mushroom flat bread was ok was salty but decent overall4. Devil eggs were nice5. Loved the French pan cake, it was topped with peach jam and was delicious6. Icecream was Okies depends on taste of you are pistachio lover you will like it.Service was decent but can be improved.

I’m sure the food is perfectly fine, but I’d steer away from this place lest you want the head chef Joe Spretnjak to be wildly inappropriate towards your spouse. It’s a shame that such trash people are employed by the establishment.

Best deviled eggs i've ever had!!! The black trufflePuff bread is a must when you come here. Brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked and so creamy inside. Steak and eggs was unique and additional tostini is needed to finish this awesome dish. The pasta was very tasty. Finished our meal with a decadent banana budino cake with the ice cream that complements it very well. Ambiance and service were great!!! Would definitely come back to try the dinner menu.

The black truffle puff bread is to DIE for (if you like truffle)! The pasta was amazing, and mains did not disappoint.

Absolutely amazing food, mind blowing! And the inside is just stunning. You will have a wonderful time, I promise!

What does one do after eating the best french fry of your life? The pessimist on me worried that the rest of brunch would never live up to that first bite. I, fortunately, was wrong. The food was almost as good as the french fries. Every bite was an explosion of flavours. I talked about the place so much my wife smacked me. Not really, but she sure wants to go now.The frittata was delicious, fries were amazing, carrots were perfectly cooked, and the deviled eggs were to die for. I'm not a huge bloody Mary fan, but I got one like the rest of the table. It was actually really good too. Usually there's a flavour that I just don't like in them, but this was smooth and flavourful, without the usual tang that I dislike. So, if you haven't guessed yet, it was a phenomenal food experience. And we had the place to ourselves. So get out there and make a reservation, so it'll stay open for a long time!
