I ordered from this Bakery for the first time and they will definitely be my go-to Bakery from here on out. First, the service is amazing...through email and in-person. Second, the artistry displayed through the designs on the cake is beautiful. I ordered a cake that looked like a Medicare card...it looked so real. Everyone at the party was blown away. Last but not least, the actual cake was delicious!! It was like eating a flavored cloud or something...so soft, moist, and flavorful. Sometimes decorative cakes are stiff and lack flavor, but not here.The only negative is that you have to pay for your cake in full upfront, so if you have an issue you'd have to be refunded retroactively. I didn't have to worry about this because everything was perfect but just something to keep in mind.I say all of this to say, you will not be disappointed one bit. I am a fan of this Bakery for life.
Stacy and Alliance Bakery were such an incredible part of our wedding day - if you're looking for dessert for any occasion, they should be your first stop.Not only was our wedding cake beautiful and delicious, Stacy helped me through an eleventh hour panic, reducing the size of my cake and supplementing with a variety of additional desserts, helping me to avoid surprise catering fees as well as accommodate a variety of guest allergies (gluten free, dairy free, etc.).She and the bakery were exceptional to work with, and provided truly wonderful desserts for our wedding - we cannot recommend them enough. For your elaborately designed cakes to your everyday desserts, Alliance has your covered with customer service that cannot be beat.
This review would be 1 star, but they do make a fantastic cake.Location unexpectedly closed early on the day my cake was scheduled for pick up. Which is fine, stuff happens, but management didn’t call, leave a voicemail, or email. I drove all the way to the location, an hour round trip, just to find a sign on the door saying “closed early :(“. Sad face indeed. Still, the event the cake was for was for that night, so I had to go to jewel and find a spare cake last minute.I called the next day to discuss what management would do to make up for the mix up. Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility, I had to argue with a manager who insisted they called and left a voicemail, even though screenshots of my phone would prove otherwise. The manager then made snide comments like “if you don’t want to come pick it up, the staff will just eat it”. They then put me in touch with the owner who was equally as unhelpful or responsible, offering only a small discount on the already expensive cake - not even enough to cover the emergency cake I had to purchase the day before.Unbelievably bad customer service. Like I said, I understand stuff happens, but as a bakery, you have people counting on you to be open during your hours, or at least contact people ahead of time. The blatant lie of “I called” is ridiculous.
Was eating down the street and walked past this gem based on the cakes in the window and have to say as a licensed sweet tooth, this place is the real deal. Great decorator team on the baked goods and nice variety of treats here. Time to buy some larger pants. Was too focused on eating to take pics. Will be back.

The cake, chocolate with raspberry mousse with fondant was so delicious. People who didn’t like cake loved this cake so much. The service is also excellent.
I ordered my son's birthday cake from Alliance Bakery. He's obsessed with deep sea creatures and wanted an anglerfish cake. After some emails back and forth, we settled on a design, and I couldn't have been happier. I am just amazed at the quality of their work. My son was so excited and guests were absolutely amazed. Every detail was considered (even the inside of the anglerfish's mouth!). Fantastic! Thank you!
I asked them to make a custom cake decorated with a rat driving an excavator, for a three-year-old's birthday. The cake they made was really joyful in a way that exceeded the brief and exceeded my expectations. And the kids were delighted with it.
Ordered the Anne, a banana cupcake and a cappuccino and every single one of the items was extremely good. The cupcake is filled with chocolate, and topped with cream cheese. It’s not too sweet and you can taste all the flavors. 10/10And the Anne cake it’s beyond words, really. Best bakery I’ve tried in Chicago. And the coffee is excellent too!!!
I was frantically looking for a place that would bake a custom cake in a 48 hour period. Not many places accommodate the procrastinating vegan boyfriend who didn't plan very well for his anniversary, by Alliance bakery did! It was the most rich chocolate cake I've ever had in my 1+ years being vegan and i haven't stopped thinking about the place since!
