Decent common Korean dishes here, nothing was particularly amazing. They used apples instead of pears in the naengmyeon, which I didn't mind much. The banchan were good, but nothing stood out. The kimbap tasted like it came from a grocery store. Prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly and food came out fast. I probably won't come back. There's better Korean food in Chicago elsewhere.
Good location if you're in Chinatown and are looking for Korean food. We went mid afternoon on a Thursday and it was not busy at all. Once the few groups that were in there left, we were the only people there. However, service was extremely slow. We were there during a shift change, so I don't blame the staff, just unfortunate timing. The food itself was... Decent. I think if you're used to authentic Korean food, you might find yourself less than impressed. Otherwise, I think the food is solid if you're looking to try some Korean food.
Finally!!!! A Korean restaurant in the South Loop! I have been waiting forever! I was able to walk to Ahjoomah's Apron to pick up my order. I am very impressed! The food is so delicious and the service was excellent. I ordered the Kimchi stew and homemade Kimchi side. I will be a regular. I highly recommend.
Definitely go with a larger group and order a little of everything! Although things didn't come out all at once, we loved that because it gave us enough room on the table, haha. Everything was delicious and I'll keep going back! The staff was also extremely nice and attentive whenever they noticed we were running low on anything. They also have some great deals going on each day, so I say check out this website/Instagram to see which day you want to go! (I think Thursdays are half off soju ;) )We ordered:Bo Ssam, Fried Mandu (beef), Korean Seafood Pancake, La Bokki, and Jajangmyun
Finally!!!! It is fantastic to have a Korean restaurant that is not on the northside! I was able to grab my pullcart and walk to Ahjoomah's Apron in Chinatown. I placed my order online, excellent service and the food was delicious! I ordered the Kimchi stew and side order of homemade Kimchi. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. The location is ideal being right at the Red and Green transit lines. Plus many CTA bus routes are on Cermak. There is a huge parking lot walking distance. Please enjoy this awesome restaurant!
(1/n) One of the best places to have authentic Korean food in Chicago Chinatown! Fantastic food, great and quick service, discounted (Chinatown) parking, and great hygiene! Best part is their complementary palate cleanser!! Definitely coming again ? (2/n) Came again, and had bulgogi this time. Delicious as always!
Good Korean restaurant in Chinatown. The jjajjangmyun was pretty good and the bulgogi was great!!!!! Also the kimchi pancakes were stellar.Ok
