I wish I could give them 10 stars. From the moment we contacted Aba/The Dalcy, the staff was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We hosted about 85 people at my son's rehearsal dinner and they made us look like heroes. The space is warm and cozy, the food was off the charts awesome and the staff were really great to work with. I highly recommend The Dalcy for your next event.
Three couples from around the country meet in Chicago to enjoy food, fun and the Art Institute. We really loved our food at Aba. The hummus, the eggplant spread, shrimp & lemon, halloumi but especially the broccoli! Really impressed with the tastes and the quality. We all agreed it was a winner. Cristina was a knowledgeable and personable server.
Went to Aba for happy hour on Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. Enjoyed my $7 wine (smooth with deep note). We also shared a plate of grilled cauliflower which was delicious and beautifully charred. Would definitely come back here for a proper dinner. Drinks and cocktails are not quite the highlights of our experience. Regardless the place is absolutely adorable and I love their lounge area!
This place is beautiful!!! We really wanted to be seated on the patio area but found sitting inside very pleasant with various lighting and decor. Not to mention the food! The dishes were all shareable and delicious along with outstanding bread!! It was suggested that each person order a couple of dishes to share which was provided each of us more than enough to eat. Dine here and just enjoy the experience. Simply marvelous!!!
I loved the atmosphere of this place. Each dish I tried was good. I had the lamb hummus, green falafel, and short ribs. All had a lovely unique taste. The customer service at the front was lacking just a little. One actually hung up when i called to ask a question and didn't confirm if i needed anything else. I understand they were busy, but they weren't really attentive. Thankfully my waiter waiter and the surrounding waiters were awesome even if they weren't serving my table. I would definitely love to come back and sit in there rooftop terrace area.
I enjoyed a very nice meal at the bar here. The ambiance is very chill. I would love to come back for dinner out on the rooftop/patio. We ordered the shortrib hummus, whipped feta, braised shortribs, crispy potatoes and frozen Greek yogurt. Everything was very good- well seasoned, great flavor and cooked appropriately. The service was wonderful and despite being busy, walking into the bar was not difficult and we did not have a long wait for anything.
The atmosphere is picturesque. The staff was attentive, they did a great job accommodating our party of 7 for brunch. We ordered a number of dishes but the whipped feta and the crispy potatoes were my personal favorites.
Very fun with excellent service. It was during happy hour and we did enjoy some of the cold mezzo. Smoked eggplant was to tie for but the regular hummus was just fair. Short ribs were very good but the pork belly was not great. The pistachio cake for dessert was great but the coffee was bland. Atmosphere inside was very nice and outside probably better
Phenomenal restaurant!! We got six different dishes and all were amazing. Top 2 dishes were the Chicken Kefta and the pistachio orange cake. Absolutely amazing. I highly recommend giving this place a try, but make sure you get a reservation.
The short rib hummus is impressive! Those breads are really soft they are perfect with those hummus. The grilled chicken is a little dry, eggplant spread doesn’t really taste like eggplants. But it is such a cute restaurant, those plants, lights and decoration are great for a Saturday girls brunch
