The food is just so homey! The feel of the place is not your typical restaurant in Chicago. There's no plate we haven't ordered in the past and each time we leave to happy. The garlic sauce is perfect to go on everything. This place holds a special place in my heart. Amazing. Just amazing. Go on a date, bring friends, the vibe never dies ❤️ ?
The food is delicious!!! I especially love their steak sandwiches with a cup of their delicious coffee. The entrees are prepared with elegance and Cuban flair. The desserts are superb. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. I highly recommend this delicious fusion of flavors to perfection!
Melany made our anniversary lunch all the more memorable. Great service, friendly, easy going, food was delicious. On could write a book of positive feed back on this establishment. 5 stars all day.
So we visited The Cuban fusion Café yesterday and as soon awe walked in the restaurant, the flavorous aromas from the kitchen danced to the Cuban beat, playing in the background, and landed right on our tongues. We knew we made a good decision before we even saw the menu. We started with some mango milkshakes. They were more like creamy mango smoothies. They appeared to be blended with an ice and cream mixture that was absolutely delicious.The Pollo Guantanamo was so flavorful. The grilled chicken was tender and cooked delicately in the sauce. I cannot begin to tell you how the red sauce was prepared. However, the taste was nowhere near what I prepared my pallet for. They prepared to exclude bitterness of the tomato. The sweet peppers and onions created the perfect trifecta. There was a unique flavor mixed in the sauce that made it even more special. The black beans had so much flavor. They definitely took their time cooking these beans for at least 10 hours. There were chunks of meat and a distinct flavor that made them irresistible over the rice.Chuletas Ahumadas was absolutely delicious. The pork chops we so tender and the smoked flavor wasn’t overpowering like bbq. It was a little more than subtle and paired very well with the yellow rice. The yellow rice had bits of meat and seasoning throughout and was topped with avocado. I couldn’t stop eating it. The fried green plantains were cooked perfectly and paired with two different creamy sauces that went well with the entire plate.I recommend The Cuban Fusion Café to anyone looking for comfort food with distinct flavors for every type of palate.
First time having Cuban food. Claudia was fantastic in helping me thru the menu. The Ropa vieja was great. So was the fried yuca with the garlic sauce. Fantastic restaurant
Holy moly! This place rocked my socks! Claudia took time to explain and answer my questions about the menu. Claudia was super friendly and patient! The food was *chef’s kiss* super de dooper. Cuban sandwich and a side of plantain fries. The garlic sauce brought the food from a 100% to 110%. Melanie was also super kind and also took time to answer our questions. They paid attention to us and provided service (asking for our orders, refilling drinks, bringing the check) at appropriate times. We didn’t feel rushed nor were we waiting too long for anything. I’m coming back here and bringing all my friends as often as I can!
This is our favorite place to order food from! We have also catered from here for our kids' birthday parties. It was a hit. I highly recommend it! The food is excellent, portions are generous, and it is the only take out our kids will eat! They love the black bean soup and all of the different rices, plantain chips, steak and chicken.
Very fun Cuban restaurant that serves easy to-go fixings and full delicious entrees. Try the coffee but watch out, it’ll keep you awake as it’s not your average American Folger’s cup.
Beautiful experience celebrating my birthday with a delicious churrasco with salad and plantains. Mrs. Gisela (owner) personally sang Happy Birthday to me along with several waiters. Thank you very much, I felt very honored.
