We stopped here because we wanted breakfast and not from a fast food place. Thus is a locally owned restaurant and when we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was Rosie and she didn't miss a beat. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy (no surprise there) as she is a connoisseur. She also ordered a strawberry crepe. She claims the biscuits and gravy are second only to First Watch. She ate them up with a quickness. The crepe she was not fond of. The wife ordered a western skillet. The potatoes are cut really thin and they're really good, cooked woth onions. I ordered the Greek omelet. It had Feta cheese with Gyro meat. The eggs were light and fluffy. The only issue I had with this place was the menu stated you can get pancakes instead of the potatoes. That's what my wife and I thought we did. We had pancakes and potatoes. The bill reflected way more that we expected to pay fir breakfast. So, please ensure the waitress knows exactly what you are ordering. But, we love Mom&Pop places. When we're through here next time we will stop again.
I normally don't write reviews, but I think today's experience needs one. Haven't been to Sammy's for quite some time. We went Mother's Day and had an great experience from the serve to the food, so we decided to go back today. We were seated in a section with 2 waitresses. Each had their side of the room. One of them was getting coffee for her side, but didn't bother asking the other side of the room if they wanted coffee. Really! You already had the coffee pot in your hand why wouldn't you ask everyone if they wanted coffee? I had to ask for carafe of ice water 3 times. I ask the waitress that wasn't ours and she ignored the request. On top of everything else when I paid for the bill I was charged and extra fee for using a card. When I asked about it the person said they have a notice posted and pointed down around my knees. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I suggested that they needed to put the notice by the register where everybody can see it. Probably will not go back.
I would give it 0 stars but it didnt let me. Food was disgusting. Manager has no customer service skills and charged us for food that was returned & for a burger plate that we didn't even touch. No wonder I always go to Urbana garden instead. Save your money take it elsewhere.
Great food, we always have breakfast items.Good service. Friendly staff and owner.Easy parking.
Food was great. Owner needs some work. Friend of mine got his card double charged there. Owner didn't even say he was sorry about that. I used a debit card there and got charged for using a credit card. I confronted him about it being a debit card and he had his money instantly with no penalty. He told me I should bring cash so I told him maybe I should just go up the road! Not worth the money
After standing in line with no end in sight at Bob Evans, we ventured over to Sammy's. We were very pleasantly surprised. They seated us immediately and had coffee in our cups before we'd even opened our menus! Breakfast selection was amazing and the food we ordered was brought fast and hot. It was all delicious and the helpings were huge. I personally had chicken fried steak with eggs over easy. Every bite was savory! I'll be stopping in again the next time I make it to the area!
Sammy's is always my go to breakfast spot when I'm in town. The waiter/waitresses are so sweet and the environment is very welcoming. The food is also great! I recommend their french toast and sausage.
Christmas Eve generally isn't the best day to head to any restaurant. But Sammy's was still amazing. My omelet was huge and stuffed full of goodness then smothered in gravy. One of the best omelets I've ever had. Service was great.
