I was really disappointed today with Potbelly's. I ordered my lunch with a chicken salad and baked potato soup. I received the wrong items potpie soup and the wrong ingredients on the salad. I attempted to call Potbelly's so that the mistake could be fixed. There was no one there to answer the phone and it went to a recording that stated you have reached Potbelly and no one is here to answer your call. Really Disappointed.
This is without a doubt the worst Potbelly, no, the worst establishment I have ever eaten at. Tables are dirty, service is painstakingly slow, and management is completely inept. Whenever I dine here, I dread what will go wrong and I have become numb to their incompetence. I would advise anyone who wants a sandwich to go just down the street to Jimmy John's where they provide a much better experience. Then again, this place is also not open at reasonable times anymore. A sandwich shop is not open for lunch on most days of the week. How absurd! These are not merely staffing issues, however, this is intentional. No other business on Green Street, let alone on campus, have their hours this bad anymore. Management seems to be trying to pressure their staff by purposefully creating anger among customers. I hope that they fix these issues because I love Potbelly sandwiches and hope for all businesses to succeed. Until they fix these issues, I will no longer be dining in their establishment.
The sandwiches we got were made incorrectly, so poorly in fact that they put tomatoes on a sub after we asked for them not to because of my partners severe allergy. The sandwiches were also soaking in sauce so the bread and toppings all fell apart and came undone. The staff we spoke to was rude and disrespectful. And the cheddar broccoli soup was tepid and tasted past its expiration date. I was shocked and appalled. Also they need to actually stick to their posted hours of operation as they cancelled a couple of my orders in the past despite being over 3 hours from the posted close.

Potbelly smells like burning trash constantly. I'm assuming it's because of the garbage food flowing through a filthy oven. Potbelly has no real atmosphere aside from the staff insulting you constantly which gives you a sense of being at The Billy Goat. If you enjoy being insulted by ancient giants and eating trash then Potbelly is the place for you!
The taller manager could not be worse. He will do whatever it takes to try to convence you to write a good review after his horrible or next to non-existent service. No thanks!
I checked the reviews here before visiting for the very first time today. Complaints about the tall manager Josh that you see in previous reviews are true, he was very rude towards me and very impatient with his employees when we had a payment processing issue that required his assistance. Sandwich I ordered is fine for a quick lunch, same level as Subway, nothing special but good enough.
Kathy Olson is right. They open and close whenever it seems like. Says they open at 11? Nope. Says they close at 11? Nope. They just open up and close up when they feel like it. What a joke. Isn't this a corporate store? Where is upper management to fix these problems? They can't be that unaware of what's going on with the low level management that can't even follow basic procedures.
Ordered online fir pickup…hours say they are open…order will be ready at 11:55. I get there and it says they aren’t opened until noon now. I wait outside until someone unlocks the door, doesn’t greet anyone waiting out there and then throws the key on the counter. My order has not been processed or looked at. I am now behind everyone in line. Frustrating!
The sandwiches are good, BUT this is the second time in a row that they’ve messed up my shakes. The first time they completely forgot the two shakes that I ordered. This time, one of the two shakes was half empty. It’s really irritating. I may never give them my business again.
