worst customer service I've ever encountered!! Employees not knowing what they are doing giving out wrong information to your loud mouthed manager will ensure we won't ever be back.

I was there for a graduation party. The staff wasn’t very friendly. The food was delicious.
My yearly once a time visit everytime I m visiting champaign. Waiting time is a pain but I understand due to shortage of staff so it's fine. Kindly serve ice tra with sweet syrup, adding sugar spoils the taste. For the time it takes to get the pizza is absolute worth the wait to have the heavenliest tastiest pizza on planet earth. Thanks Papa Del for maintaining the legacy of best pizza
Ehh. The pizza takes about an hour to get to you. They are ion front about it so that was great. As I’m waiting the anticipation is building for how awesome this is going to be. Then it arrives and looks amazing. The taste was underwhelming. I could have had a chain pizza for half the price and quarter of the wait time.
First time at Papa Del's. Had appetizer of "donut" bites which came with two dips of choice. Delish and more than enough for group of 4 with about half left over in take out box. Server, Sam, excellent and very social, sweet as can be. Drink refills came without even requesting. All of our group ordered a pizza slice. The slice of the day was super good. Sausage piece shared by friend was great. Price very reasonable. I paid $17 for slice, drink and appetizer.
This place is not what it used to be. The front of house service and management is an absolute embarrassment to the establishment. They use the reputation they gained from before as a crutch to keep themselves afloat. Although there is a decently loyal customer base, how long can that go on before it dwindles due to the poor experience you get every time you dine in? Although I and others may understand the hardships sweeping the hospitality industry as of late, you cannot excuse the type of behavior you see from the staff while you’re there. We come in because we love your pizza and to support your business, not because we want to make your life any harder. So I don’t think it’s right that they often behave that way. Getting barked at from across the room that we have to wait 20 minuets before the waitress even arrives at the table is completely unnecessary and totally throws off the vibe before we even get started. When she finally arrives the service is very rushed and emotionless, they do not care if you have a good experience or not so long as you give them money.I do hope they figure out the roots of the issues they are having lately and yank them out as soon as possible. I will probably give it another shot come spring time, and hopefully have good reason to update my review. As of now, nothing about dining in is worth your time or money.
If you call yourself the best pizzeria in Champaign, please make sure to cook your dough. $30 for a large pizza that tastes like mush.

I had my first Papa Dels pizza in 1974. Today I probably had my last Papa Dels pizza! The service had begun to go downhill prior to Covid. I am sick of waiting about 10-20 minutes before we have our drink order taken. It’s tiresome to have to beg for a soda refill! Several months ago we waited over 2 1/2 hours for our pizza. Today, slow to be seated. Slow to get drink order. Same old thing and when I mentioned it to one of the managers she blamed Covid. We’ve tried to eat out as much as possible during this pandemic to support restaurants. I’ve not had as slow a service at any other place. The pan pizza is ok. I’ve had just as good or better at other restaurants. Not even sure if it’s as good as I used to think it was. The gluten free I had today was tasty but the crust was soggy. RIP PAPA DELS. Your poor service, longer waits for pizza and lack of interest in your older loyal customers is going to destroy you.
