Please don't waste your money in this overpriced place.This place is overrated, only people that don't care about the price of food and have not tried traditional Mexican tacos would go here. I used to go almost every other week 3 years ago, but as at time passed the quality of food went down and the prices went up.Covid made it worse, it is 10$ for a small portion of guacamole, and it is 4$ for a small taco, and the taste is average and the portion is small.If you want burritos go to Burrito King and if you want tacos go to Fernando's food truck, both places have better prices and better food than Maize Maxican Grill.

Wonderful food the past 10 years I’ve come and tonight they gifted me with a “maize baby” onesie (I’m 8 months pregnant.) Such a sweet surprise from such friendly staff!
Ordered the Chile Rellenos and I was beyond extremely satisfied. Very delicious and to me authentic since many places in the area do not serve it properly. I found my mexican food place. I had a great experience for going during lunch rush I will definitely return. I highly recommend this place as this came highly recommended to me. Delicious.
Very average food and the cashier working there was incredibly rude and obnoxious about wearing a mask. Will not be eating here ever again until you stop forcing masks on people
We ordered food for pick up. Fast and delicious. The only problem was that there is very limited parking at the Green St location

Don't let the size of the restaurant or the fact that its on the corner of 2 busy streets scare you away! This little place is amazing--best Tacos in Champaign and arguably Illinois. Service is always prompt and fast. Everything comes with chips--a generous bonus. It's also close to campus--so anyone at the University can make it here easily.
It may be small but the food and service is excellent. They have a good variety of burritos, tacos, quesadillas and more. Everything comes with a bag of chips. They are very fast. It's on the edge of campus so it's easy to get to from both campus and downtown Champaign. They parking is limited and can be tricky since it's on the corner of two busy streets.
Fastest Mex in the East hahaha. Torta was amazing! Partner got tacos and was amazed also. This is my 2nd time there and I will be back for a 3rd!
