Ever sense they had a fire this just isn’t the same! Flavorless BBQ meats should be the new slogan.. 30 bucks for sub par sauce and meats when it was a 5 star rating prior to the fire! Very disappointing!
Porgys used to be so good and quality has gone down. The pork sandwich was very dry; shrimp and polish sandwich was good. Portion size has gone down and they used to include a pickle and hand wipes. Now the pickle is extra. From my perspective I’d rather they charge a bit more and take it back what it used to be; the best BBQ in C-U. The bbq sauce was excellent.
This was my first time eating here. I had the brisket sandwich with extra hot BBQ sauce. The sauce had a great taste and I was pleasantly surprised that it actually had some heat to it. It's not as hot as I usually like but for fast food it was hotter than most. With friendly service and great food I'd definitely recommend you giving it a try at least once.
Fantastic service and great food! This place never disappoints. The staff is on top of everything and so friendly. You can't beat the Sunday special for value and a quality meal.
had brisket sandwiches. the meat was sliced with the grain. It tasted old no smoke flavor either. I liked the sauce and the beans.
Saw there were good reviews but the food wasn't that great. Maybe it was an off day. The sauce was good though. Had the beef brisket sandwich which was on special. It was dry and didn't have any flavor. Potato salad side was also bland. I'm bummed because I love BBQ. Pickle was good.
It's a great quick stop for ribs and pulled pork. My fries were a little soggy and a few tables still seemed a little messy but the ribs were very tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed my lemon shake up.
Just threw away all our food. Got the food back home plated everything and had one bite when we smelled it whew the pork ribs have either gone bad or it had boar taint....it was gross never going back again. Hoping we dont get sick from that....
Been eating here for years. So glad they reopened after the fire. Tastes the same as always, excellent! Had the Thursday pork sandwich and fries special with mix bbq sauce. Oh the memories from when I was a kid. Give it try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!!
After being burnt down Li'l Porgy's do not taste the same.. It's taste like they boil the ribs tips and sear the meat.( No wood taste at all!!) Im was thinking the grill needed to be seasoned.. ??♀️ That not the case. (6 Mos later??)Only thing is original is the sauce and that might not right?. I also order corn on the cob. Ask the lady if it was sweet corn ? Nope it was not!! Not fresh at all! They need to get in the business just selling the sauce! I can boil my own meat!
