100% do NOT recommend. Came here because it was my friends’ favorite place as undergrads and they were getting married. Bouncers wouldn’t let anyone in because we were too old. They said they want patrons who are 19?? They lost thousands in revenue when they turned ~25 people away. Weird.
If you have nostalgia of going, skip it. Was kicked out after we paid $10 because we were too old.As we left saw a couple of locals yelling the n-word right before the got in.Real cool place. 1000 better bars to go to.
This is the worst bar in champaign, I don’t go to school here and I have been turned away more than 3 times even though I was willing to pay the ridiculous 20$ cover to get in. What bar turns away paying customers? Especially on graduation weekend. Ridiculous. Go somewhere else.
We went there tonight, as alumina, with salaries, they wouldn’t let us in, or our wedding party in… because we were over age. They said it was a “students only night”
Not as smelly and sticky as old 202 East Daniel's location, but cold beer. Great to see namesake IL bar carrying on!
working here was genuinely terrible. “Sales” are encouraged by way of screaming and threatening bartenders to force their friends to come out and drink. Jason Reda actually said “if your friends won’t come out and drink this weekend then they’re not your friends.”PS if you still work there and they’re still making you scan your thumbprint, they’re breaking the law.
worst bar I’ve ever been to!!!! The guards are VERY aggressive and immature! all of them are probably in college and do not care about the well-being of the people that give them service. disgusting!
