This is the best ice cream place I have ever been to in my life. Let’s be honest, no one really likes living in Champaign Urbana, but 10/10 would visit again just to get this place. Also, I met Tom Hanks here one day as well! Guess he’s a fan.
This place is legendary. Always busy. Always delicious.
Great selection, always a delight. I love the ice cream but this stop I went with a sleet(slushie drink) and was excellent. Made my drive home more pleasant
One of the best ice cream around the area, they also have lots of flavors and toppings that they can also mix for you. I would encourage being brave and trying several combinations of flavors along with various toppings. It’s great ice cream or the name.
Our treats were spot-on! The service was good - friendly and timely! It smelled divine inside!! Perhaps from the waffle cones? I was a little disappointed in the outside appearance of and around the building; trash laying around, custard streaks down the glass on the door and window and all over the outside of the trash can, etc.

They've improved the drive-thru experience significantly in the last few years, and their operations seem fairly streamlined. The place always seems immaculate and bright. The staff are generally friendly and polite, almost reminds me of an ice cream parlor from a generation or two ago, as is portrayed in the movies. I would go on a romantic date there, grab some treats, then go walk at the nearby park. Or just hang out with some of my friends and chill on the picnic tables outside. I feel though that the custard/ice cream is sightly overpriced despite it being delicious.
First visit, what a treat! Fudge sauce and butterscotch are made in house,the custard is creamy and delicious. If you are going through the drive through, look at the menu beforehand, there is so much to choose from, it can be overwhelming. Rest assured whatever you choose will be great, don't miss it!
It was my first time trying out Jarling’s after all the hype some of my friends and fellow townies this place brought.
Cool place. The best place in town for icecream and custard.
