I just had some of the worst Chinese takeout in my entire life from Green Jade. I did a Google search for Chinese restaurants, and this restaurant came up as a finalist in the best Chinese Restaurant category for Champaign-Urbana. My sister and I each got an order of Szechuan Chicken and we ordered 2 appetizers: Vegetable Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon to share. The chicken in both orders of Szechuan Chicken was simply strips of chicken skin - there was absolutely no chicken meat. I understand that restaurants are trying to save money, but this is ridiculous. I’ve never had Szechuan Chicken made with just chicken skin.My sister and I both felt that the meat was inedible. Perhaps some people would like just to have chicken skin; perhaps this is even more authentic to Chinese cuisine, but I’ve never encountered the dish prepared this way in any of the many Chinese restaurants I’ve been to all over the United States. The vegetables accompanying the chicken skins were OK, but we had to fish out the an edible portions. In addition, both the crab rangoon and and the eggrolls were over cooked or had been under a heat lamp for far too long. Even some of the packages of condiments looked spoiled. I hope that they were just having an off day at the Green Jade today, but unfortunately, it was so bad that neither my sister or I will give them a second chance.

I went to this place for the first time yesterday. The staff is very friendly and kind. The fried rice is excellent! The egg rolls, amazing! But the Hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever had!

The best I've found around town. Excellent covid protocols when you pickup your food, as well!

A bit pricey but great food.

I ordered late night before the closed and they were super respectful and willing to feed my family after hours. We didn’t dine inside but it was clean and being cleaned when we got our food. We ate leftovers for a day with how good the portions were.

By far one of the worst Chinese restaurants I’ve had in Champaign! The chicken tasted old and the rice was dry and crunchy. Along with the food being very disappointing I was yelled at on the phone by the worker simply because I could not understand what she was saying. Unfortunately I will not be returning to green jade any time soon. Better off spending money elsewhere where you are treated with respect.

The best Chinese food in town and they don't use peanut oil for anyone with allergies!

I've now had Green Jade twice. The first time their website was being redone and not working correctly so we called in to order but because of the language barrier it was a little difficult to understand one another but once we got the food it was absolutely amazing. So when I was visiting a friend on that side of town again it was my first suggestion for where we should order from. This trip however was much more difficult. We ordered online, which their new website is very nice. We walked there since it wasn't far and grabbed our food and walked home. While unpacking our food and opening all of the containers, my chicken was missing. I drove back to the restaurant to inform them and to get my chicken. The woman at the counter informed me of the number of boxes she put in my bag which I confirmed with her and attempted to tell her what was in them. She then brought out my receipt and marked off all the boxes that were in the bag but then marked the chicken and I tried again to tell her I didn't have the chicken. This went back and forth a few times, I couldn't believe she was arguing with me about it! I'll admit I did lose my tempter and become a nasty person and it was after that lash out that she agreed to make the chicken for me. I feel terrible about the way I acted but after going back and forth and her not believing that I didn't get the chicken I was very frustrated.

Food it’s okay, but do not have sriracha sauce the times I’ve been there unlike other places. Sriracha sauce it’s the spice of the food.

Have wanted to try this place for a year now and finally convinced the wife to go. I wished I had better comments about the experience, but food was unusually bland.
