Nice place, opens till pretty late which I appreciate a lot rather than going to McD.Food is decent.Owner is quite friendly.The only that took one star away is that their bottled drink/water is $3… and food is slightly pricey (noodle bowl is close to $12).
We went to Golden Wheat around 5:15 pm on a Saturday evening for a warm meal on a cold day. The person at the counter was very friendly and helpful as we looked at the menu and asked questions about portion size, spice level, and ingredients. She told us the noodles are hand made on site which is a plus since we love fresh ingredients. A nice bonus is that they will give you additional noodles on request (to add to any leftover broth). The portions are generous (my wife took home half her bowl). Each of the bowls come with a sprinkle of herbs and greens, but the meat, noodles, and broth are the main stars. The heat can be ordered to your preference, from mild to slightly spicy to hot. We also ordered an appetizer: 10 steamed buns (which I forgot to take a picture of). It was delicious, comforting food and the inside has more than sufficient seating. My wife, son, and I look forward to our return here so we can try more items from the menu.
We really enjoyed this restaurant this evening. I had the chicken wanton soup which was excellent. We shared the pick dumplings at our table. They were very good and came with an amazing dipping sauce. My two sons have no idea what they ordered but both enjoyed their meals. We will be back.
The staff is very friendly and the meals are really good. We will definitely order again from Gloden Wheat
My dad and I were in town shopping for Christmas gifts while I looked up somewhere to eat. Easy to find. Staff is incredibly friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I got the Tomato Noodle with beef slices, my dad got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.
Im disappointed with the food here. My expectation and the reality are different. Meat had unpleasant taste and kinda wasn’t fried but boiled. And our noodles with vegetables had 4 pieces of vegetables. And I couldn’t get good description of the meal. When I asked what is that meal, the woman said hmmmm it is “name of the meal” with vegetables. Like I know it is with vegetables but what kind of meal? But she described fully for another customers! I don’t deserve the same full description??? I paid for meat noodles and vegetable noodles with 2 cokes 31$ that was too much for experience. Again disappointed
I’ve been here so many times i’m obsessed! always so good i’m telling everyone I know and their mom to go here! The owner is also sooo nice and friendly it’s amazing
I love their food but the new takeout box didn’t work well. The sauce came out into the plastic bag. Maybe I’ll dine in next time.
Food was excellent. One of the best noodle soups I’ve ever had in my life. I got the braised beef noodle soup and it was very flavorful and not too spicy at all. Also the quality of the noodles was amazing, it had the perfect firm and chewy texture and absorbed the flavor of the broth so well. The customer service was great too and food didn’t take long at all to come out. Needless to say I am coming back here if I have the chance and highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking good quality noodles.
Friendly, chill spot for chinese noodles. Got the mushroom pork mixed noodles, good large portion size!
