Have had Sunday brunch in the past and it was just OK. Went last Sunday and was stunned when I was charged $44.00 for 2 people. That was bad enough but the food was crummy at best. Scrambled eggs likely came out of a can, a jug or maybe even a box. The sausage patties were actually cooler than room temperature, as were what was labeled french toast. I could go on but there wasn't much more set out.
Food tasted phenomenal and fresh! The quality of food here is amazing considering it’s in a grocery! Service was also great. Highly recommend if you’re stopping by Harvest Market because they only use locally sourced ingredients!
Never eat an omelet here. Greasy, runny and oily. Got the runs after a slimy omelette…Salad bar is nice but if you order from the deli, the microwave TAKES FOREVER ( needs to be replaced). And they waste so many plastic containers. Thousands and thousands. They use one for each and every thing they microwave, and then put the things in a to go box. It’s kind of bizarre since they preach recycling. Also, more CASHIERS needed in the deli, salad bar area and you should be able to weigh a salad in the restaurant window. Not sure why they haven’t reprogrammed the scales to weigh there but it’s an issue for a long time since it’s usually staffed well and the deli and salad bar are often understaffed. Also you may want to train the people that are running around in the deli/food prep area to run the cash registers. They don’t seem to know how or won’t. (They usually have plenty of staff back there but nobody to run the registers.)Coffee shop associates are rude and the hours are terrible, closing at like 2 or 3.By the way I eat here probably 2 to 3 times a week. I like the food, except of course for the omelettes. They just need to direct the staff better.
GM Kris Miller makes the best from-scratch soups this side of the Mississippi!!
Great service and great staff. They bring your food with care and make sure they understand your concerns if you have any.
Oddly enough this is one of the better places to eat in the area. It is very similar to what you would find inside of a HyVee. Good food. Fair prices. Super clean. Huge selection of items on the menu.
Friendly staff, nice environment. Soda machine not very reliable.
I really enjoy the soup. The service is lackluster at best .I always get the impression that the people who work there would rather not be bothered.Being shorthanded is no excuse for being surly.
The salad bar is always fresh and provides a variety of choices. There was a gentleman playing a guitar and singing very loud which made it hard to engage in conversation.
Omgggg the breakfast at HayMarket was delicious. The pancake is the size of your plate..the omelette was full of ham and cheese, hash browns was seasoned well and the turkey bacon was good too!! My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. (We made happy plates lol) The staff was nice too!! So if you’re ever in Champaign google HayMarket…you won’t be disappointed ?
