I love this Café and their fresh food. The staff is always friendly even on their busiest days. Cafe Kopi is my weekend treat hands down! My only friendly suggestion is, would it be possible for the barista, who handles payments and drinks, to please wear gloves when preparing said beverages? Watching the barista touching money and then the coffee lids is a bit of a risk. I also noticed the barista shaking the chocolate syrup while putting their bare index finger over the spout. I hope this didn't come across too harsh ?. I still enjoy this establishment and will continue to support them!
This place is overrated. Americano is no taste, terrible taste coffee. Staffs were friendly, but the person making the drinks was not wearing a mask and was talking to another staff while he was making drinks!
A great place to pop into when your train is delayed. I enjoyed a tasty large mocha. This time I was able to resist all the delicious pastries and breakfast offerings. I found the ambiance to be warm, inviting, a feeling of home away from home. I’ll be back for sure.
Rustic ambience with great frappes and coffee!
I stopped by this cafe a few weeks ago to grab some morning drink and breakfast. They have a decent choice of beverages, sandwiches and bakery items.Lots of seating space - they have an extra room sort of space with more seating. I’ve visited here as a student to work on some homework too.Their creamcheese seemed freshly made and was yum!
Good coffee shop. The coffee was good and the inside is very cute. There is the option to put alternative milks in drinks.
Disappointing food- one star or less. Came at 11:30 for lunch and a coffee. Turkey and Brie hot sandwich was on barely toasted bread and lukewarm rather than hot…was essentially put in the toaster oven that wasn’t warmed up so it didn’t even warm the turkey. The turkey is lunch meat. Says it comes with side- but that means a meager slice of orange and two baby carrots.Coffee was fine (3 star maybe?) and the vibe is coffee shop. My advice to owner- if you aren’t staffed to provide food…then stop offering it and stick with coffee.
Cafe Kopi is a great option for a caffeinated treat in Downtown Champaign. The seating can be a little hit-and-miss, and wi-fi is occasionally slow, but staff is always nice, the vibe is solid, and the drinks are well-made.
