The property is run-down and really ghetto looking. Employees are super rude/unprofessional and show up to work cracked out. Shady men frequent the area and will harass you for money in the drive-thru. At least the food was good. I don't know if I ever want to come back to this dump, but it was an interesting experience to say the least. If you want chicken, maybe go somewhere less sketchy.
I don’t know what lady is working there today but one thing is I’m not even from this state and two the first impression I got from this place was absolutely trash. The lady came and said “we’re short staffed “ while waiting in line and proceeded to say “you’re going to be waiting” how is that my problem ? I came for food not a reason as to why you hate your job. If you’re so miserable don’t work there and if you wanted a better job you could’ve done better with your life . Completely ruined my day . Her attitude is trash . And the food must taste horrible if their being made by that witch . Also the apple juice sign ? Seriously ? Embarrassing.
Obviously, the franchisee saw this as a money-making opportunity, and maintains only the bare minimum of staff to stay open. I once (today) sat for 15 minutes in the drivethrough when the employee said "sorry, I'm the only person here" after the guy in front of me had a long personal conversation throught the speakerbox. Orders are 50% correct, 50% of the time at-best. Employees don't seem to care, which tells me there are no rewards for performance other than keeping your meager wage. If you're going to invest in an out-of-the-box restaurant, turns out it still requires work and money on your part. If you want to invest in something as hands-off and stagnant as you want to be, just get a savings account or a mutual fund or something.
Horrible customer service, rude beyond anywhere else. The lady making orders eating in between making the orders. Took 10 minutes before I just left. Would not take my order. Literally looked at me and laughed at seeing me wait. All 4 employees looked like one crack hit until death. Extremely dirty floors behind counter covered in grease and food. Would not recommend and will never be back. This location should just be bulldozed and a liquor store built. That would be more suitable for this part of little Chicago aka Carbondale.
No menu boards, place was dirty, staff totally unhelpful. When they asked if they had a paper menu I could look at to see what they he the young man said “Chicken “ wow, no wonder there was 1 person there.
Every time I come here there is something new wrong with the food. Ordered a tender meal and got regular fried chicken, also got one less fry than was ordered. Everything was a bit mushy like it wasn't fried long enough or the oil wasn't to the correct temperature. I like popeyes but I don't like leaving town to get my order right or cooked correctly. Please try to do better as if there is an issue with your fry you could make people sick.
They didn't have anything I wanted to order either they was out of the product or it was discontinued but the items was still on display! Whenever I got my chicken tenders some of them was still kinda raw! No good customer service at all...
Really wanted some but when we walked n the door the girl at the register was on her phone looked at us n walked over 2 the drive through window and was talking 2 the Manager neither greeted us or came back over the worst service ever they need 2 do their jobs n leave the phones n their pockets their service sucks.
I watched 2 cars drive in front of us drive off because they were unresponsive and another 2 cars behind us. When we finally got to the lady she came off as very annoyed she had to due her job. Seems like a trend at this location. She was very rude. All of this for some chicken. Don't think I will be a patron here anymore. I could understand if the place was swamped with business but there isn't anyone her but the workers. I would usually brush this off as someone had a bad day, but it's not the first time. Popeyes may have the better chicken but the Colonel has the better service. FAFO
They only had Mac and cheese or coleslaw as sides. Charged me extra for the Mac and Cheese. It took 15 min to get my food at the drive thru. I just ordered chicken strips. They were out of multiple menu items and were rude about it.
