All you can eat, cook it yourself restaurant for $30 plus tax. Each table has a grill and a boiler. Neat concept!
I'm giving this place only 3 stars because even though the food and drinks were good, the service was not up to par. Throughout the whole dinner, not once did the waitress ask us if we needed more food/drinks or anything else. We had to hunt the waitress down to ask for more food and even the check at the end. It basically ruined the overall experience for me and my family.
Pretty neat concept, but it doesn't excel at either Korean BBQ nor hotpot. While the meats on offer were of decent quality, the grill took way too long to cook. In comparison, the hotpot cooked fairly quickly, but the broth wasn't as good as other places in the area. The tables could also use some more room. The service was definitely a high point of the experience.
Pretty cool place but make sure to ask how to order if you've never been, it's very confusing and our waiter didn't really help out. We ended up with a bunch of leftover meat and when we asked for a box they don't let you bring any leftovers home because it's "buffet" style, which is fine but the whole process was just a bit confusing. Food was great though!
We were so excited to finally try out the bbq and hot pot experience but it was nothing like we expected. They really don’t explain how to order and when we finally figured it out and had our food brought out there were bugs on our lettuce. Not just one or two but ALOT. The lettuce still has dirt and bugs on it like they didn’t even bother washing it. I showed them and all they did was take it back rinse it quickly and brought it back. It still had dirt and bugs. This just made us think that if they do not care to clean food properly what else are they neglecting. I would never go again.
Very fun! Service could have been better and wish we had actual silverware glasses. Would recommend doing the combo of both the hot pot and bbq. We loved the short rib and marinated beef on the grill and the ramen and mushrooms in the hot pot with the original broth. Highly recommend watching a video or read up on stuff before coming as they don’t do a good job of explaining beforehand, I was with people who have been before.
I came here with a friend of mine to experience the highly rated hot pot experience I expected when reading the five star reviews left on this restaurants page. However I was very disappointed for many reasons. After we we ordered our food, they encouraged us to buy more, and we did so since we were taking advantage of the all you can eat dinner. However, they failed to mention that each pound of food left over would’ve been $14 per pound. Although I know there are charges for leftover food at all you can eat places, it’s messed up that they encouraged us to order more than we previously were going to purchase. Not only that, the food was not good at all and I feel very cheated for the amount I paid for. Even though it was a lot of food, it was still way too expensive for what we ordered. Not to mention, the meats and vegetables were not fresh, they were FROZEN!!!!! It got to the point where I had to force myself to finish my plates because I didn’t wanna spend a surcharge of $14 for each pound I didn’t finish. The Boba was also not that great, as it was very watered down. The water was served in plastic red party cups and we were given four napkins and very small plastic forks. I do not recommend this place, and if you want a good dining experience for a Korean bbq I recommend Gyu-kaku in downtown naperville. I will not be coming back again.
Pleasantly surprising since there’s not a lot of Korean bbq/hot pot spots in these parts. Meats and vegetables were fresh and tasty. Wide selection of sauces. Very clean and we were over stuffed when we left. Price is really good for what we had. Will definitely be returning.
This place is interesting and nice. I don’t know how I quite feel about it. It’s a good first time interest. But I’m not sure if I would come here often. It’s kinda expensive for cooking the food yourself. But it is an all you can eat type of place. Plus it’s pretty cool that you can watch your own food cook. Just be cautious of what you order, cuz there is a possibility for an up-charge for “wasted” food. The only big down fall of this place is the ordering is per table, but charged per person. your table has to get either hot pot or bbq and can not get both.
Would give a 7 out of 10. Mentioned this was my first time. Was expecting some feedback as to how the ordering went. Waiter mentioned the two options of hot pot or barbecue then left us to figure out how ordering went. Loved the experience but a bit high in price for quality of food. Something different to try different
