We went there on Saturday July 16 at around 5pm. There were many empty tables, restaurant was about 1/3 full, but we're told that there was a 30 minute wait due to being short staffed. That's cool, we'll sit at the bar. Sorry, no bartender, you can't even sit there. You'll have to sit in these uncomfortable seats in the waiting area until we can get our act together.Why can't you seat customers at tables or booths, explain the wait, and perhaps offer a comp drink rather than tell someone no we can't accept your business right now due to our incompetency?What kind of manager turns customers away like that?I went to the Red Robin in Plainfield instead and received prompt courteous service. Never tell a customer that you can't help them, unless you want to fail in business!
We went to the Boilingbrook location, excellent service. Our server was very patient with us and brought out our stack of onion rings with 2 delicious sauces.Our burgers were cooked how we asked for them. My husband and our friend ordered the garlic fries- VERY DELICIOUS!!We were able to take some fries home in a to-go container. We did not had to wait very long and we really enjoyed our catch up friends visit.Thank you Red Robin!!
Great hamburger choices. April 2022I see the menu has been reduced some. Some of our favorite item r gone.Getting the madlove burger w yukon chips today. It was delicious
Red Robin is a predictable place. You go there knowing what you are going to get. It's like an upscale McDonald's. We enjoyed our food, the wait staff was attentive, but the tabletop kiosk to order other things and pay can be a pain in the arse at times.
Hit or miss, depending on the day or time. We usually get take out now due to COVID-19. Staff won't even acknowledge you if picking up. Not even a hello or thank you. Food is usually correct, but sometimes we get very undercooked burgers or incorrect toppings. When they are "on" the burgers are good.
Food is good whenever i go there. I would say just ask for some fresh fries. Service is pretty nice and i do appreciate them trying to be fast as they can.
Wednesday night, 2/23, 2022, my son and I went to the Bolingbrook location for dinner. When we walked up to the lady at the desk, she very rudely said, there's a half hour wait. No, I'm sorry but there's a wait or we're short staffed and there's a wait, just a mean look and a bad attitude. We noticed only the bar area was open so either they were short staffed or just did limited seating. Needless to say, with the attitude we received we went up the block to a different restaurant for dinner. I've never experienced attitude like this before especially from someone who deals with the public. That experience has made me never want to return there again.
They never sat us and didn’t have any intention to. They told us there’d be a 30 minute wait. 45 minutes later, they hadn’t seated anyone since we walked in.We then overheard the manager explain to a group who’d been there longer than us that she didn’t know what was going on because the to-go orders were getting priority and that they weren’t seating anyone…I understand the world is short-staffed, but don’t lie to your customers, thanks for wasting an hour of my night.
Food was excellent! Waitress wasn't on her game and messed up some of the order making me eat after my family had already started. Manager made it right though so I still gave it a full 5 stars.
