first time there.... Food is great.

Been here a few times and service was alright. Food is tasty. Went the other night and the host walked us to the table, set our menus down and walked away without a word. It was awkward. We ordered our food and guacamole. The guacamole came after our meals arrived, and after asking for it twice more. Our waitress was not attentive at the lease, and it was not busy.My food was too spicy to eat. When asked how it was I was honest and they said they could remake it... for a $2.00 charge. I declined the offer. Management then came out and said they would remake it. Great. I had a three taco dinner. They remade two of them when only three bites of the third one was missing. And the charge was still added to my bill.

Absolutely terrible service and food as well. To add insult to injury, today is Mother's day and we had hoped to enjoy an authentic Mexican dinner experience. Nothing authentic about the food at all unfortunately. This is the first restaurant, since moving to IL 4 years ago, that charges an 18% service fee for a family of 5! The industry standard, I'm told, is 18% for at least 8 or more, so this was a bit suspect. Especially when the service fee notification is written on the back of the 6-8 page menu in the lower left corner instead of on the front easily visible to patrons and should also be mentioned by the server at the start of the visit. We will not ever return.

We came because we were given a gift certificate. First we were greeted with the hostess saying, “we don’t have any tables but you can sit at the bar.” No, offer to take our names for the next available table. So we ordered a regular margarita and the margarita with the corona in it. There went the $25 gift certificate. One taste of the margarita and it was so sour, that I didn’t want to drink it but at over $12, I was going to finish it. The bartender kept coming and asking if everything was alright. They have their margarita mix premixed so there is no changing that so we just said okay. The chips and salsa were not great either. I like a chunky salsa and it was more like a hot sauce salsa. So we decided to try the nachos and the meat was soaked in water, which was at the bottom of our plate. The chips on the bottom were wet from the water and the ground beef was not seasoned at all. We decided that we had had enough. So for two margaritas and a shared nachos, we came out of there for $43 before tip! Not worth it! All the while the bartender kept asking if it was okay? I think they know it is not! The bartender was also making drinks right above the condiments, very strange that they would not have a place away from other prep areas to make the drinks.

The waiter was awesome. Good food and good company

This is my second time here, my first time was cool because the margaritas are good but the food… hard pass. The food is not authentic and the service sucks. Today was hands down terrible, we got to the restaurant and got seated within 5mins, so cool, but then… seated and ignored. We got a table right by the bar and next to the hostess but that did not stop them from completely ignoring us for over 20mins. I watched as the waitress literally helped every table and looked at our table once but didn’t come over to say a word. I tried to make eye contact with her or the hostess but neither did them would come over. We needed up leaving after 20mins and will never go back. Waste of time and terrible service.

Is a real nice homie type replace actually excellent food excellent staff yeah excellent staff quick and efficient

Stopped in here for dinner, the food we had was really tasty & great - from the chips to the refried beans and of course our entrees, everything was tasty & great!! Then the drinks, the jumbo frozen margaritas were amazing. I can’t wait to come back!!

Such a great location and friendly staff. In all fairness, the service is consistently slow — so allow 90 minutes for dinner or you’ll be disappointed. I like the food and the drinks, and the menu is fairly priced.

I went here for my 21st birthday dinner as I grew up in the area and like this restaurant. However, the manager refused to take my ID. Accusing me of a fake ID. And would not accept it because it was horizontal. But that is because I just turned 21. She was very rude and unprofessional. Lost a family of loyal customers. I came in with a family of police officers. Who verified my ID was real and legit. I’m so very disappointed. I will not ever come back here.
