First time ever eating at any Buona Beef and boy was I glad I stopped. I tried the cheeseburger and fry special for $7.99 on Wednesdays. The burger was very juicy and flavorful. Loved the toasted brioche bun too.
Ordered the Rigatoni with marinara. First let me say, I prefer meat sauce however it is not an option. I was actually blown away. It WAS DELICIOUS!! It actually tasted more like meat sauce but I can assure you there was no meat in it.
This is normally one of my favorite beef sandwiches around. Went through the drive-thru on Friday. I ordered a cheesy beef, dipped with hot peppers. What I got was a dipped beef with cheddar and no peppers. WORST BEEF I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!!Not sure what the cheddar was all about, but it appears to be a squirt of pump cheese and some cheddar sprinkled on top. It completely RUINED the sandwich. Very disappointed. It will be years before my family gives them a try again.
Beef was delicious. Fries were exceptional, fresh & hot. Wish gardinara had olives in it
Went to the one in Bolingbrook and the tables were dirty and almost all the tables needed to be cleaned off. There were only 2 other tables that had guests. There was barely any beef on the sandwich and I ordered it baptized and it was next to dry. The workers seemed to be busy playing around instead of working.. IMO the one in Darien is the best and will stick to that one.
I placed an order for 2 beef sandwiches with extra beef on both, one of them baptized. This was at the Bolingbrook, IL location. When I got the order, it was very obvious the sandwiches did not have extra beef. This location is not consistent with their portions, and this is not the first time I have had an issue. I went back to the window and explained my issue and they told me to go to window 2. When I got there, I was greeted by a general manager with a "cocky attitude" explaining he was the one that personally put together the sandwiches and they are done right! I explained my frustration and he kept telling me they are right, but provided me 2 containers of extra meat. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" No, instead, I get a hot headed manager having to prove himself. On top of this error, I got home and the sandwich I wanted baptized was dry as hell. The general manager "assured" me that he did everything right. I asked my family to take a look at the sandwiches and they agreed. No extra beef. All that had to be done was apologize and provide me with new sandwiches that are done correctly. Instead, I get a hot head who thinks they are god's gift because they are a GM at a restaurant. Needless to say, I will never go to Buona again! If I spend $21 with tax for 2 sandwiches, they better be done right!
We asked for ketchup packets and they didn't care about us. Their prices are too high to be making mistakes like this. If you like ketchup with your food I suggest you go somewhere else because Bueno beef doesn't care about what you want.
I'm trying a bunch of different places while I'm in Chicago working. During my first time here, I ordered the pepper jack avocado burger. It was delicious!!I recommend test driving this place.
I stopped going to Buona about 2 years ago because they changed their fries and cheese sauce for the worse. I'm happy to say, at least for now, the cheese sauce is better now. Fries seemed better too. Also, The new beef sandwiches are really good.
Ordered a tray of meatballs for pick up and they had them ready in less than 20 minutes, well packaged and ready to go.Courteous staff and very clean restaurant.I love Buona.
