Noisy, not as friendly staff. They screwed up my stuff, I had a free treat that the dude didn't use, thus loosing my freebee, and I had to pay full price, and lost my freebee, then was surly anout screwing up. Last visit here, I am sticking with Palos -they always get it right, and trest you right.
Very bad experience, whatever we order they gave something else. On reordering they messed up the whole custard again. They filled the cup with brownie and no custard. As you see in the pic the bowl is empty from the bottom.
Any of the specials or seasonal desserts are always good. But if you like the basic traditional, can't go wrong
I can’t really say enough good things about this establishment. Their staff is so friendly, they complete orders quickly even when it’s busy and the custard is always yummy. I’ve had an unhealthy obsession with their chocolate peanut butter banana milkshake lately and they don’t judge me at all for coming several times a week and I really appreciate that.
Needs to update their POS systems. I went there the other day and noticed they swiped my card instead of using a chip reader. Not only is this outdated, but it is extremely insecure and puts the restaurant at risk for any fraudulent activity. Their POS systems should be updated to add chip support and tap-to-pay preferably.Outside of that, they offer a good selection of milkshakes and sundaes. Everything tastes good there and they have a number of benches, around the property, but I wish they had tables to sit at too.
I had the Rico Suave Jackhammer both times. If you like Oreo cookies, you are going to LOVE this. For me, this is a more delicious and creamier version of the Oreo McFlurry. The little pecan pieces make it 10000x better!
Really good frozen custard. It's creamy and delicious, not too rich. Tons of mix-ins. Friendly, quick service.
Simply the best frozen custard in Illinois! Fresh from the tap. My boyfriend took me here 7 years ago and got me hooked ?! I like Culver's but it has an after taste, when you compare. There is a reason this place has huge lines in the summer! The Key lime concrete only available in the summer is amazing. A full piece of key lime pie is mixed in the vanilla custard shake! Yummy ? they have other seasonal specials and a huge menu of mixers, he likes the James Brownie Jackhammer with a peanut butter core, and no brownie. Worth the drive!
Ice cream is good, but rarely ever get an order right. Really, is it really that hard to put chocolate instead of vanilla? Hersheys syrup mixed in will do.
Besides the fact they dont hire African Americans, manager Margo is absolutely RUDE!!. I ordered a butter pecan concrete with caramel instead of butterscotch! Pull off, check my order and sure enough its wrong! It's vanilla ice cream with caramel!? I drive back around, explain this is not what I ordered. The cashier calls the manager over, Margo and Margo says that is what you ordered! (Not I'm sorry let me make this right.) I said I specifically ordered butter pecan ice cream...this is vanilla. She mumbled something else and I said just give me a refund. I'm definitely not going to patronize you and argue with you! That's a wrap for me!
