Wonderful thin crust crispy pizza, great breadsticks and homemade marinara sauce. Traveling and a women at our hotel recommended Lucia’s and we would definitely spot again!
Took a road trip from Decatur & stopped in for a pizza & a drink. Small cozy little place with a neighborhood bar feel. Pizza was delicious and our waitress was very nice & helpful ☺️
love the atmosphere and menu. good food, reasonable prices.
Visited the Bloomington area for a triathlon and were looking for somewhere for dinner the night before. I ordered spaghetti and my husband ordered pizza. The food was amazing and the bartenders were so friendly! Hope to be back soon.
Gotta Love Guinness on Draught!!!I have to say this was the Absolutely BEST Pizza I've ever had in my entire Life!!!If you're in the Bloomington/Normal area you MUST step in for a Slice!!!ForGetAboutIt...
Just as good as I remembered it. I was back in town and was very happy to take the trip to Luccas. We were able to reserve a table downstairs, which is the best place to sit. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was upbeat without being too loud. Our waitstaff and bartenders was also amazing. All in all it was a great visit back to an old favorite
Driving through Illinois and needed a late-night dinner. I checked Tripadvisor for help deciding a place and they didn't disappoint. The pizza and wings were great. The service was also very good. Thank you, Tripadvisor.
When I got out of college in 1979 my first job in Wisconsin was with State Farm. They sent me to the historic State Farm Fire and Casualty Building in Bloomington, Illinois for training. That building was the start of State Farm Insurance, the largest Insurance company in the world. Right next door is Luca Pizza on Route 66. As a young man, I ventured around the area in my company car and had no idea I was traversing the Mother Road. We, of course, went to the Beer Nut Factory also an icon on Route 66 which is still there. Today we went to Luccas and were really impressed with hospitality and the food. The pizza was great, the place was packed on a Thursday night and the restaurant is pretty much as it was back in the day. As you travel down Route 66, you will have a few yawns at the kitchy, not authentic places borrowing the Route 66 mantra. This place is the authentic deal. You can feel the history in the tin ceilings and the original wood and brick. Go here, you will not be disappointed. You can read in other places about the sad demise of the State Farm Fire and Casualty Building next door which is still standing. It was going to be demolished, but sentiment was against it and State Farm is hanging onto it hoping for a buyer. There are many historic buildings very close to these buildings.
Lucca grill is one of my favorite places to dine in in B-N. Love the thin crust pizza and was surprised at the selection/variety of beer on tap - they had some of my local favorites. Wait staff is friendly and helpful, will be back again soon.
This is a Bloomington Normal institution! Anybody asking for cool old school places to eat I tell them Lucca. The atmosphere is awesome and the the best pizza in Central Illinois.
