Since we don't have Taco John's near home, we sought this one out on a road trip. However, we should've just stayed on the freeway. The tacos weren't very good... the meat was dry, luke warm and tasted old. The potato oles had no seasoning... and we even asked for extra. The staff was more concerned about gossiping than helping us. We didn't feel welcome at all. Sad. We used to drive miles out of our way for TJs. Not anymore.
I called to ask them the appropriate way to use a mobile coupon in the drive-through, that I was provided in the app for a free small combo for joining the loyalty program. Here’s how that call went.Taco John’s: Hello how can I help youMe: Hi, I have a mobile coupon in the app for a free small combo. How do I redeem this when ordering through the drive through? Just to make sure I’m prepared and know your exact process.Taco John’s: Hold on just a second *starts to hand the phone to another employee where he explains to her “He’s calling about using a mobile coupon or some s***.”*The young lady got on the phone and answered my question without an issue, this young guy needs some training on being respectful and professional in the work place.
Half an hour to get through the drive thru. Employees seemed to find it funny that it was taco Tuesday. Laughing at how they ran out of shells, then meat, then whatever else they said. Good lord its called planning ahead. Couldnt even get the order right. I live 25 minutes away. Thanks alot. Give me a reason to go back to that!
We came back after the pandemic to find the Quesadilla changed. I was expecting onion and green peppers but they were not there. I asked if they were not doing them any longer and cashier said it was a recent thing. Definitely not worth the price and had I know I would have order something else.
I had a big order and they were quick. Food was fresh, too.
Very very good quality ingredients and especially meat. It's a little expensive compared to taco bell but you'll taste the difference in quality.
Google stop following me. The last time I went to Taco John's I was 16... decades... and it tasted only of cumin, no good taste. To me cumin tastes exactly like celery. So I had celery chili and celery tacos before soft tacos were a thing. I can't advise eating here.Tl;Dr: Google reported me here and I wasn't. Gross!
Another restaurant in my backyard that I just tried for the fist time. It was great I will be back. Kids weren’t a huge glean and would prefer the other Taco stop.
I’ve been to over 40 TJ around the country and this by far has been the best experience I’ve ever had. Great, friendly Crew and somehow the taste was even better too. Thanks!!
Every time I have been here, the staff have always been so nice. They are so personable! And you can go wrong with potato ole's!
