Still good but they made their bowls way smaller and are charging more. Used to be worth it. Now it's overpriced.
I am very disappointed after my experience today for lunch. I ordered the burrito and a side of seaweed salad. Staff is clearly untrained on how to make the burrito. I wasn’t paying attention to the wrapping at the end, but all the meat and toppings fell out and wasn’t included in the package. I was left with a burrito with rice, one shrimp, and a couple edamame that made it in there somehow. Not a single chunk of tuna or any other toppings. It was shocking how that many things were not wrapped in there. Maybe the staff removed the toppings before rolling? Also, the seaweed salad side was about 1 oz in a 4 oz package. This place has such a great opportunity to be a local staple with the concept, but they can’t figure out how to prepare items. The spicy tuna looked great! I wish I could’ve tasted it after paying for it. For a $20 lunch, I expect my meal to be prepared properly and staff trained. I feel like they owe me the meat and toppings that disappeared. My recommendation would be to only offer products that staff is trained to prepare. I feel misled and wish I ordered a bowl. I will update this rating if someone reaches out to me to correct this issue and I have a better experience. For now, I can only be feeling left hungry and sad after the worst lunch I’ve had in a very long time.
The rice was undercooked and flavorless. Will give it another go sometime and see if it was just a one off. Will change my review if it’s better but the bar is set very very low.
Great food, and good service, but they do not have a drive thru, Google is wrong, the drive thru is for the coffee house they share the building with.
I'm rating this 5/5 specifically based on my partner's review of her meal, and my love of the coffee next door. I did try the food, but it's just not my jam. She lived in the Bay and swears it delicious, so here is a great review. Go try this food. And if you're not into Poke but your smokin hit date is, no worries...there's pizza at the coffee shop literally in the same building.
I have been wanting to try this place for months!! The umami ahi bowl was delicious! My husband loved his spicy ahi bowl. The garlic spam musubi was so delicious!!! My kids got the chicken bowl, one didn’t like that there were oranges in the bowl, the other didn’t like the chicken (I tried the chicken-can’t say I liked it either). Next time I will get them the shrimp. I would recommend this place and return again!
A couple interesting things to note. There isn't a dining room specifically for the restaurant. The building houses a coffee shop, a bar and Pokeworks all together. They share a common seating area in the center, no serving staff. Drive through is available as well. The food is good and it seemed fresh, but wasn't outstanding to me. Prices are on the high side for a "take out" restaurant. $16 a bowl. I understand that sushi in general is pricey, but this seemed like it was mostly rice and veggies.
The staff there was super helpful. I went with a group of 5 and we were all greeted along with explained on how to select our food. 10/10 experience along with their customer service .
Have eaten here a few times. Great food but there is no difference really in size from the regular to large. Ive compared it in person with friends and there's no difference. Once mine was even less than the regular..
As a Marine & a culinary trained Chef, I couldn't be more proud of the 2 young ladies who took my order & served me with pride & enthusiasm. @ 1:30pm on a Wednesday & it was fresh, beautiful & outstanding. Higher price, but higher quality & service. Very well done.
