I ordered my usual for my kids for dinner queso Birria tacos and consommé. I get home one of my consommé tops were broke and soup was everywhere. My meat wasn’t as tender as it normally is. I call up to the store to let them know and the young man said that the manager isn’t in until 10. I decided to bring the food back. The cook had told me that they had different tortillas and the roast was just made today so it’s not gonna be as tender as it was 3 days ago. Instead of asking me do I want something else; they gave me my money back and told me not to come back. My kids love the food here so I spend a lot of money here $40-$50 a week. Who would think you would treat a loyal customer like I actually did something wrong. Instead of apologizing. I also noticed when the cook was making other meals he was forgetting things. (a man asked for no onion on one of his burritos [which he had to remake] , another man had an order of tamales)
I give this 4 stars for a couple reasons. First, it's not the go to fast food chain restaurants people see on TV. This is Central Illinois authentic Mexican fast food. Most likely migrated from the same food I had in Chicago via Mexico. Second the staff is very helpful if you have questions about your order. I haven't had everything on their menu but what I have had was exactly what I expected. It was all good.
They added a tip without my permission and stsff incredibly rude and impatient. Female that works at night should come with a warning. Never give her access to your card ever.
Love their food! Their melted cheese is so delicious! and they are reasonably priced! Definitely recommend checking them out!
Worst food ever they have stuff on menu that they dont even sell i ordered a gyro with fries when delivery got here no gyro i called and they said they dont sell them
Best burrito? Lol No! The burrito is almost flavorless. But if your looking for something to fill you up when you drunk, drown it in their hot sauce, than ehhh it’s not the worst burrito lol. The Birria tacos however are actually pretty good. Actual flavor there.*Btw-Best steak burrito in town comes from Vera cruz? Best flavors in town.

No frills, good food, helpful staff. The tamales are flavorful and sized well, the chorizo is the best I've had in town, with a bit of heat to it. Otherwise dishes are a bit on the mild side. For their tacos, which have the two soft shelled corn tortillas, they melt the cheese between the tortillas - brilliant. They went the extra mile to address my wife's onion allergy.
