Lots of people I know recommend their brunch. The menu looked awesome so we gave it a try. Unfortunately they were only serving breakfast tacos. We tried them and they tasted like they were heat up in the microwave. If they were going to serve literal leftovers they should have just cancelled serving food. This was the first and last time we will be here.
The day Hawthorne Heights and the owners of this place threw together a last minute, day of, freezing cold weather, sold out show was legendary.Bummer for the people they had to cancel on up north. I wish I could lie and say it wasn’t fun but.
I would like to start with saying I have never made an online review for a restaurant before, but our experience here today was awful and felt the need to share. My husband, myself and our nine month old came in about 4:30p. We even called ahead to see if it was busy and the gentleman I spoke to said they were not busy at all. So we decided to make the trip for a quick bite. Once we got there it was very empty, maybe only 3 tables were taken. We sat in the patio and waited for a quite awhile, finally after about 10mins a waiter walked past our table and said “When you’re ready you can grab menus from the bar.” My husband and I looked at each other in confusion, but anyhow my husband went and grabbed the menus. After coming back we picked what we wanted, waited and waited and no waiter came back to take our order. After awhile a waiter walked past our table saying “When you’re ready they can take your order at the bar.” So again, my husband got up, went to the bar and ordered our food. We were never offered any beverages, and never brought a beverage the entire time we were there. Not to mention we were never offered a booster chair. I asked 3 times before someone actually brought us one and that was after we got our food! They saw my son sitting on the table the entire time, it was so strange to say the least. By the time they brought the chair and our food my son was having a big fit and so we unfortunately had to leave. I personally do believe if they would have brought a chair for him when I asked the fist time he wouldn’t have gotten so worked up and most likely would have been able to stay and enjoy our food. This whole experience unfortunately has brought us to never want to return. When we got home the food was mediocre and definitely something I could have made myself. Sorry, not sorry.
This establishment was lovely, a modernized tavern-style theme with vegan comfort foods, yes please! I was overwhelmed at how mouthwateringly delicious the vegan fry basket was but was rather disappointed by the salted exterior of my tacos. I could barely finish the tacos due to the overwhelming amount of salt and lack of overall flavor. I apologize for my honesty but would most definitely try the rest of your vegan menu the next time I pass through the area because I’m sure they’re wonderfully delicious! The staff was handsomely kind and accommodating.
Nice little bar/Venue and grill. Food was great and very friendly staff would recommend if u like concerts. If u just want something to eat there food is hot and fresh. And they have 26 taps.
Great place for brunch on a Sunday! We had a variety of food in our group & everyone enjoyed it. They have delicious vegan options as well. It's a popular place for us locals, be prepared for a short wait. I recommend the Farmer's Special with the sweet potato hash. Delicious ?
We drove in from out of town to see The Dollyrots play here. We were blown away by this venue. It is unassuming from the outside, but it's very clean and laid out well, with awesome staff, a great beer selection (and full bar) and AMAZING food. The enclosed patio with speakers to hear the band on stage is a great touch! We will be stopping back in every time we're in the area.
Food was really good. Met some friends there before seeing All Them Witches at the Castle Theater. Got a burger and fries. Burger was really good but the fries were the best. Will have to go back for more.
Been twice now, first time was great, brunch shashuka was awesome, great service. But last night, no table service. Had to order at bar. Then after 30 minutes, went and asked about food, finally got it at 45 minutes, but order was wrong. Ate it anyway since it took so long and didnt want to wait another 45 for correct food. If looking for a Sunday brunch, go for it. Big bar if looking for a weekend drink, but might want to eat elsewhere first.
Went for brunch and the service was not good. Nobody checked on our table for very long stretches and we finally had to flag someone down to order a second drink after being there close to an hour. My Omni Scramble came out with the wrong meat and was literally so raw it was slimy soup in the middle. Took 15 minutes after our food came to get something as simple as salt. Ordered an Irish Coffee and I got a cold cup of straight black coffee with half a shot of Bailey's on the side, no whiskey, brown sugar or anything. Instead of guessing what it was they could've just asked or said they don't have that on the brunch menu. Gave 2 stars because the waitress waived my raw egg omelette and I've been there for music but never again for food, it sucked
