egg rolls, outside delivery, never had bad food

A MUST TRY— Amazing Filipino spot with delicious selections! I was so happy to find this spot along my trip! All the food servings are enough to feed at least two people! Finally found a Filipino restaurant that serves crispy fried chicken skin—it was yummy! The kare-kare was creamy and full of ingredients—they definitely don’t skimp out! And ohhmyygoodness, the pork bbq was the highlight of my meal—it was fully cooked but still juicy and NOT OVERCOOKED! It was cooked in open-flame(I even ordered more to-go cuz it was soooo good) ???

I ordered the general tso and the sada steak along with some dumplings. When I got home to eat my general tso all of the breading was mush the sada steak is rubbery and taste nothing like it used too and the dumplings where cold. This is a very big disappointment compared to what it use to taste like. I will most likely not be eating here anymore.

This is the place if you want sweet n’ sour chicken.

This maybe the biggest disappointment since moving to BloNo. You can tell their fryers are not clean or at least they're not using clean oil. None of the food is fresh. Biggest waste of $100.

Used to eat at the old downtown location for decades. Finally got to this location to have a PC tray. Food was excellent, very clean restaurant, friendly staff.

I have lived in Bloomington Normal almost my entire life and was always a huge fan of Grande Cafe. That has ended. I ordered carry out from there last night. The food was awful. The Sada steak, which was always a favorite has a under cooked pasty coating on it. The rice was tasteless and the eggrolls were tough. And the prices were outrageous. I will not be back.

Worst meal I ever ate. You might want to change your name from grand cafe to something else. When people hear grand cafe they think great food. Unfortunately new ownership has ruined the food

I have been a Customer of the Grand Cafe for many Years... going back to the early 1980's when it was located just West of the Scottish Rite Consistent in Bloomington.Although no longer located there, the Spirit continues at it's current location in the Oakland Commons.Much has changed, but the Grand Cafe is yet a Mysterious and Magical place... still as it was before!I hope that you partake of the Fine Food and the Spirit of the Grand Cafe...... and You never know, maybe one day I might see You there, too!Bruno Biava ⚓

Just ordered a PC Tray tonight. $14.99 !!?? I was shocked because it used to be under $10.00 I said what! Tto the person answering the phone. She said yes the new owner raised the prices. I had been eating at the original Grand Cafe down town Bloomington and the original owners would have never raised the price of such a small meal up $5.00 more. And it's not even near as good as the original owners. The sada steak is barely cooked and rubbery unless you ask to have it cooked normal like the original owners the Chew family did. There's a good reason why the original owners were open down town Bloomington about 100 years. With the price being raised this bad I will never eat there again. Crazy prices!
