We have loved giodarnos for a long time, so when the in laws came over from England we thought it would be good to take them.Unfortunately deep dish seemed more like flat dish- about half what it usually is.Not what we have experienced historically and a huge disappointment. Not sure I’ll be taking the time and money to go again.
How is this place still open and running with the management its under. My family and I dined there last night. After a wait that felt like forever...with only one other couple there...my veggie pizza arrived with a missing ingredient. I informed my waitress who advised she had to run it by her manager after I requested it to be made the way I ordered it. She returned advising me that the manager said No because they have no time to remake my pizza Right, but he can refund me for the ingredient they left off ...whatttt
This is how my pizza arrived last night, took an hour and a half to my door. Ordered around 4:30. Had spaghetti order also and the top of to go box was all dented in. Pretty sure it didn’t leave the restaurant like that. Delivery drivers need to take more care. Have read a few reviews about this happening. Will def check order before I tip again. If I ever order from them again.
How many things can be messed up in one meal? Overcharged by $20 for a speciality menu pizza by itemizing the toppings, refused to correct the bill. Got all of the drink orders wrong, and were sold out of most beers. Did not provide enough silverware, but whatever, I just hoped the pizza would be great...well, it didn't taste bad, but all of the toppings were in one place and clumped together rather than scattered throughout. I was very disappointed from a restaurant with such a good reputation.
Taste of the pizza! And being deep dish!
Not a fan of deep dish so I got their thin crust and although they're known for deep dish, if you like thin crust you'll love this thin crust. It is underrated by many. They can do both deep dish and thin crust well here. Ingredients are fresh.
We finally broke down and try this place and were surprised by our food. First key is to make sure you have time or order ahead. It takes time to make their deep dish pizzas. They use very good ingredients and their sauce was flavorful. Not all pizza sauces in town are good, but this one was very tasty.
Visiting from Georgia. I have had lasagna at many Italian restaurants and by far Giordano's is the best restaurant lasagna I have ever had. Most sauces are bitter and have no flavor and the sauce has very little meat. This lasagna had the best tasting sauce and it was so meaty. If I ever come back to Bloomington I will definitely go back. My only issue was the wait for our food. There were a few large parties when we went, so I do understand. The food was definitely worth the wait.
Food was excellent will be back
I drove from Springfield to Bloomington, Illinois just to purchase & pickup 2 pizzas. It was worth the 2.20hrs turn-a-round trip on Valentine's Day. No pizza can compare in Springfield. It was closer than driving to my home town Chicago. They took a phone order the night before on Super Bowel Sunday and my deep dish spinach & thin crust specialty pizza was hot & ready upon my arrival 30minutes after opening on Monday morning. The taste was excellent. Recommend to all my downstate neighbors to take the drive and live a true pizza experience.
