I’ve been going to Lalo’s Restaurants since I was little. Every time we had a birthday celebration we would go and celebrate there. It had been years since I went to Lalo’s. We stopped for lunch before going to Brookfield Zoo. The food did not disappoint and it brought back so many memories. Can’t believe they still give out chicken soup! The wait staff was friendly and we all definitely enjoyed our lunch.
Lalos is still Lalos! I was terrified after eating at one of the franchise stores that Lalos was gone, but it's not! It is still hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago...or most other places for that matter. If you tried another location and didn't like it, come here! The pickled vegetables, the chicken soup, the guacamole and the Margaritas are all fantastic!
Let's stop by here with a buddy for lunch during work and glad I did. The place is very big and the decor is very interesting. To start off the service was great as we were seated quickly and briefly prompted by our server with chips salsa and water. I ordered the steak tacos and they were amazing very juicy tender. Yes this place was great and authentic food with great prices. I would recommend this place for a quick bite or to bring friends and family out and have a good time.
Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I have gone here throughout the years and always enjoy it. I'm taking a star away due to I feel their pricing is really, really high. I don't consider the restaurant to be upscale like the prices reflect.
Love the food and drinks here.However wife ordered steak medium well and it was raw. Had to send it back.So sent it back and instead of cooking a new steak they bring back the same steak and in was still raw in spots.Not right. Sorry guys should have done the right thing. Will not be back.This was a Friday afternoon 3/25/22 around 1:30pm
This place was ok. I call it fancy Mexican food. You can get the same food at a normal Mexican restaurant for half the price. Nice place but I'm about the food and getting a bargain. Go to experience the place but will go back to my mom and pop place around the corner. Lol
Great food all the time. Prices have gone up of course and now you have to make a request for the flavorful spicy carrots as the restaurant doesn't just place them on your table anymore. The parking is not great at all, and it's some street parking, but you have to be careful where you park as you will be ticketed or towed! Lots of tables in this restaurant with great wait staff. At times live music has been played for the customers. Drinks are very flavorful and well made.
It's a very good place, from the beginning the chips and salsa, very good you can feel the corn, soup excellent, and the food stake and chicken perfect cooked, tender and full of flavor. Good prices and nice ambient.
We went to celebrate both of our mom's bdays. Gloria our waitress was sweet& attentive. The addition staff, busboy and hostess were also professional and attentive to our needs. Our food was delivered way faster than expected, emptied plates were removed promptly and our chips and dip were refilled almost immediately.Our food was full of flavor, served hot and fresh with nice and warm tortillas. We ordered enchiladas Verdes, flautas de papas, Banderillas, horchata and a frozen guava margarita.
We had an appetizer combo and a pitcher of Margaritas. Both were great and the service was pleasant as well.
