While I am recommending The Abbey and they make a good latte, I must say that it would be nice to be greeted when I get to the counter. That has not happened even one time that I have been there. I realize there is often high demand and stress, but it truly would make a difference for customers to feel like they're appreciated, at least a little. Just my two cents.
We attended a private party at the Abbey with food having been brought in, so I can't comment on the food service; however the bar service personnel were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean, and sported a fire pit outside with seating.
Food is delicious, atmosphere is inviting, & service is fast & helpful.
You will not find a thing that isn't awesome here! Both of the varieties of the Granita are fantastic, and the BLT is for sure my go to! It's always worth it coming here, if you're considering visiting you definitely should!

Long a staple in West Belleville, the Abbey is a great local alternative to the Big Brand coffee chains. It is a large dining room that still remains cozy at the same time. Friend staff and amazing food at reasonable prices complete the Abbey experience.

Great soups, salads and sandwiches. Food was served quickly and got, always a plus on a cold winter day!
The dimmed lights and soft music created a beautiful atmosphere! I had the Granita Carmel coffee with an extra shot of espresso (the other girls think theirs would have been better with the extra shot as well) and a banana nut muffin which was served warm! Such friendly staff!! I highly recommend The Abbey!! if you are in the area give this cute little Cafe a try! Gives off the cafe from "Friends" vibes
Had amazing sandwhiches and good mocha coffee. Lemon bread was so so yummy.
