Reservations recommended. We got 10 min late, but got seated fairly quickly. Kids choices are slightly limited but with sides and pretzels on the main menu, we made it work. Many strawberry options, as we were during strawberry season.
We went to the country store not restaurant and had an awesome aray of flowers and trees!!!!! Must see what they have. Next weekend starts strawberry picking in field!!!!
We have visited this restaurant many times as locals. Whether you are looking for a place to enjoy a family get together or a lunch date, you’ll find their food and atmosphere perfectly satisfying. It is comforting to know that the meals are prepared with consistency, and you won’t have to guess if it will be just a good the next time. I’ve never had a bad experience (lack of proper food preparation, taste, etc) or a meal that wasn’t as expected. The service is pretty great too! When you’re done, walk on over to the country store to get yourself a delicious pie or other homemade treat. Your kids will love the mini carts they can push on their own as you stroll through to check out other items (produce, pantry goods, kitchen and garden trinkets, and more).
We went on St Patrick's day and were disappointed they didn't have Corn Beef and Cabbage but I had a chicken power bowl and it was excellent. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed shopping after lunch. Hint for you with kids they have little shopping carts which my granddaughter loved.
We were so pleased with the service and food today at Eckerts for our very large group.
Ordered 2 Pc Fried Chicken, Mash potatoes, with gravy, Green beans. Wife ordered Chicken pot Pie! Chicken dinner came out first. Served on a small metal tray, with brown paper covering the tray. Presentation is a turn off to the meal! The mash potatoes were let say a "firm scoop from an ice cream scoop"! Gravy was served on the side in a small plastic cup? Green beans had no flavor at all. I think they were from a can and served as was? Chicken pot pie arrived, I turned out to be a Flat looking Croissant roll, with what one would expect inside a pot pie except pour over the top, Looked more like something you would be serve in a school cafeteria. and it was not hot!! It was sent back, wife ordered a hamburger and fries. Not what came for but had to get something else quick so we could go! Will say Hamburger and Fries were good ! Just not what we drove 45 minutes to eat this day. Might go back some day?
Went around 5 pm Sunday. they said they are closing at 8 PM. We ordered our food and I got the black bean Power bowl. It used to be more than enough for one person. This time, it was not even a quarter of it. It wasn’t even enough for a baby. On top of that, the waitress was about to kick us out. They still had one more hour till their closing time. Eckerts itself is overpriced anyway. I will never return!! I drove over 30 miles, for that dinner full of disappointments. Eckerts was a much better place before it turned into a tourist trap.
Great Santa for pictures, food was great, alot of activities for the kids and tons of photo ops.
They really do have delicious fried chicken. It's perfectly seasoned and fantastically juicy. I wish they made their green beans as seasoned as their chicken. The french fries have that double batter that is so yummy to eat, and their cocktails are good but overly sweet. The fried biscuits are good, and even better with their homemade apple butter. The applesauce was unnecessarily sweet and could have been perfect had they omitted the extra sugar. Their fried okra was good, and the horseradish dressing paired nicely with it. Staff was nice, but like everywhere across the nation, was short-staffed.
We had a party of 7 hungry folks. We were provided a nice private dining room with plenty of space & great natural lighting. Our meals were well prepared & delicious. Dustin, our waiter, was exceptionally patient, attentive, thorough & professional.
