I went here not expecting it to be that great because I’ve tried other seafood/chicken places in the area that have been disappointing. Boy was I wrong. The food here was so good! The fish and those Hennessy wings were seasoned well, hot and fresh! Finally I found another place to get some seafood or wings. The wings are better than Harold’s. Kudos to the owner(s) and I’ll definitely be back again to try some other things on the menu!!
Seems like a new seafood joint in the neighborhood (I've been looking for one) nearest Long John Silver's is 10 miles away and Red Lobster doesn't count.Looks like a Brother (AA guy) runs it.....kool?.I ordered 3 wings and 2 cat fish with ?. The meat was pretty good (I'll go back for that), but You NEED mild sauce to make the fries edible, so Bro needs to do a better job with them fries (I'm a huge french fry Dude)Dude has a nice menu including turkey greens (think I'll try that out next time I go back for some more of that tasty fish and chicken)?
Supporting local can be hit or miss and this place was a hit! I did take out which sometimes isn't a good idea with fried food but everything stayed fresh and hot! The catfish was fried to perfection and the grits were on-point, the fries were a miss but otherwise good stuff.
Just stopped in for first time , Chef Chris didn’t disappoint! Nailed it. Ordered the crab dinner, Wings and Shrimp it was delicious. 100% coming back.
Holy cow, yum.We were at Pappadeaux earlier in the day and decided to leave to find a more affordable place to eat, prices were OUTRAGEOUS. We ended up closer to home and found this GEM! I do not fancy seafood but my boyfriend loves it, and because I love him I always find something else on the menu to eat alongside some kind of fried shrimp and then casually taste his food.I ordered 8 PC. Wings and 1/4 fried shrimp and he got the crab dinner. I ate one wing and kept asking him for his crab. I am a person that never orders crab, ever, not because i dont like it i just dont care.I would go to this spot and order the crab dinner everyday. The seasonings chef Chris puts in the butter, TO DIE FOR. I ran my fries in the sauce, the fried shrimp in the sauce, rolled the corn over and over in the sauce. Omg. The crab was so sweet and was so dang delicious. My boyfriend told me to go and order my own dinner after continously picking at his.The shrimp, as well. The best shrimp I've ever had. The breading, so good.I got naked wings and they were too hot to eat and by the time I tasted his crab I didn't even care for the wings. There wasnt anything wrong with them, I just didn't want them after eating his food. Haha.We will be back within the next couple of days for sure and we've already told all our friends about it! ???I'd say any of the negative reviews about soggy fries or whatever is because of Togo ordering, food isn't going to stay crispy by thr time it gets to you, is 100% inaccurate. Our chicken so crispy, our fries BEAUTIFUl. Granted we did eat at the restaurant, and are so full and so happy.
I tried the catfish dinner and a side of turkey greens. The cat fish is filleted, no bone in steak style (which I prefer). The cat fish was perfectly cooked, well seasoned. For $13.99 (take out) I got three large pieces, fries, slaw and a bread roll. Although the fish was very good the fries were a little burnt and soggy. The turkey greens were a little bland, I prefer more of a strong smoky flavor but they were still pretty good and not bad considering greens are hard to find in the burbs. I should have looked at the menu closer as sauce is extra and I forgot to order some. They have a few tables, it is clean and seem to do a brisk take out business. Next time I want to try the shrimp and cheese grits which looked really good.
Could be a nice spot in Aurora for quick seafood. Staff could use more training in regards to customer service, sanitation and orders. I’ve only been to this location three times and each time my order was incorrect. Although staff wear gloves which is a good thing when we were there we noticed that staff were wearing gloves, using the register and taking orders then going back to cook food without changing gloves or washing hands. Also sauce on the food is very scarce, definitely need to do better with all of this if the business is going to thrive.

Does not disappoint!!! Surfs up has the most delicious red potatoes and corn combo and I love the catfish. I’ve been here quite a few times and it’s always a friendly and welcoming environment. My family loves the shrimp, wings, hush puppies, and fried catfish. Great food!
