I love Popeye's but this location is sliding down fast. I don't fault the workers at all, they're doing the best they can. It's management's fault! The place is busy so, money is coming in. Probably skimming some off the top ot pay for luxuries or vacations instead of fixing the A/C.Tenders are more like fingers! Could be a bit more spicy, but edible.
We picked up, drive-thru, chicken tonight at the Aurora (Rt59) Popeyes and couldn’t be more dissatisfied. First issue was we ordered Spicy and got regular (bland) chicken. We even asked to confirm that it was spicy as we were handed the order and the person at the window said yes, it was. Second issue, and the most disturbing issue, is that the cole slaw was slimy and way beyond its best by date… the texture was disgusting and the smell was nasty. Eat there at your own risk - county health inspectors should be alerted!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!
Ordered from here through DoorDash last night. My whole family and I got chicken nuggets and a couple sandwiches. I also got some shrimp for myself and I now have food poisoning! I’m so glad I didn’t share with my daughter because it would’ve been so much worse. Don’t think I’ll ever order from here again.
Be verrry careful when you go to this restaurant. Ordering ahead doesn’t help at all. It’s gonna be a long wait. Don’t drive into the drive through otherwise you’ll be trapped in it for a long time. Service is very slow and the dining room is NOT open. Despite the loooong wait, the food is still good. You won’t be disappointed. The wait will make you hangry tho.
Lobby is ALWAYS closed. Drive through takes forever!!!!! I couldn’t wait anymore after sitting in drive through yesterday for a solid 20 mins with no movement and left. Decided to get food elsewhere. When you do get food, it’s Popeyes. It’s fine.
Suppose to be open till 10pm pulled in line about 5:15. Waited 15 min in drive thur to find out they only had white meat available. When I asked if that meant they didn't have nuggets, tenders or sandwiches she got nasty and said "no we close at 5:30, there was a sign out front" after waiting another 5 min to get out of line (cause there is no way to get out of their drive thru) there was a lady out front holding a sign but she was not there earlier. I get your short staffed or out of food. But don't wast peoples time, put the sign out earlier so you don't waste 20+ min of someone's time.
Possibly the worst drive thru I have even seen. Not the food or service, it's the actual lane. It's so tight around the building you have to do a three point turn to get around the corner.
Wow that place was ghetto my chicken is cold. The drive-through is not a drive-through it's more of a sidewalk going around a building. Why would any company open up a place in that building? This restaurant really tells you how Popeyes operates I don't think I will ever go back to a popeye's again. Why in the h*** would you put a business in that building? Ridiculous
Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other options in the area. They will take 40 minutes to fill your order, forget items and then when you get home and open your sandwiches there will be no sauce and half the skin will be ripped off. I am absolutely disgusted that I had to pay for this experience.
Chicken is always fresh in this location hence the 5 stars. Staff is nice and accommodate special requests. Yes, the driveway is a pain but a small price to pay for good fried chicken.
