I read the some of the reviews for this Harold's and I was reluctant to go. But I went anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the service was friendly. I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes. I will definitely go there again.
The only reason I’m giving them one star is because it’s required to leave a review. Normally, I am a big fan of Harolds chicken but the customer service at THIS location is awful ! The owners are rude and disrespectful! Please don’t waste your time or coins with them! The chicken is salty and fries are not fresh! Surfs Up has excellent food and customer service!! It’s right up the street from that Harolds.
5+ years of eating at Harold's. I've eaten at the schaumburg and naperville area, both shared the same lack of customer service, basic human kindness and lack of care for your time waiting for order. As an avid chicken wing eater, i'll say that no fried chicken will ever beat Harold's! if you can afford being treated poorly, it is a great meal!! Wouldn't recommend ordering from if you had a bad day at work!
Ordered food and showed up 30 minutes later, food was cold, 10 hot sauces 3 warm coleslaws no other things in bag? No napkins no forks just rude service, about giving to much money instead enough. Chicken livers were warm n the bomb!! Very disappointed
This is the worst place I have ever been to, it does not even deserve the 1 star rating. The place is filthy the floor is filthy with caked up dirt and the windows are frosted to the kitchen so you can’t see their unsafe practices and re-dipping old French fries. The guy owner called my phone over (20 times) after I made a complaint over the phone I threw the food out after one bite and I wanted to give them feedback on service and this guy is completely crazy I had to call the Police and record the conversation between us, he stopped calling right away. Let’s do our part as a community and stop supporting this DUMP and they will have no choice but to close down!
If I could givethem a 0 I would. I placed my order at 6:15pm prior to my lunch break. I was told 20 minutes. I arrived at 7pm still had to waited 10 min. I knocked on glass to get cashiers attention to ask for a time frame since I had called in and was on lunch break. Both her and her husband are rude and disrespectful. Her husband approached the glass unprofessionally “ it’ll be up shortly”. As I attempted to explain that I was on lunch break he continuously cut me off. He went as far as trying to intimidate me by staring “what’s up” as he put his arms in the air. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NOR WILL I EVER SPEND MY MONEY at this establishment. They absolutely DO NOT know what customer service is. The cashier was very rude tossed my ID & Card through the slotted hole after charging my card. Her attitude is very disgusting she spoke to other customers aggressively and unwelcoming. No masks worn and lady doesn’t wash hands after tendering payment and packing food. I RECEIVED my REFUND. Food is already overpriced as it is but expect people to spend their earned money to be treating in such manner. Im sure this location will be closed soon.
Omg the customer service is unreal! I lived in the city and loved Harold’s. Was excited to see this one in burbs. I’ll drive downtown from west burns before I ever go back here. So rude and obnoxious. I’m not the type of person to be concerned about sanitation and masks, but perhaps the health department should be made aware of their practices as well.
Christmas Eve, at 4 p.m. my daughter requested we add wings for our guest coming at 6:00, so I agreed. I placed the order and pickup was 25 minutes later, I never checked the order until I got home, and that was a huge mistake. The chicken was fried to death, dried out and tasteless and the fries I have no words to describe them. This was my first visit and my last as it was truly a waste of my time, gas, and money.
So mean and cold. Place is dirty. Don’t give them your money they need to go out of business. I know they were out of business once not sure why they are back. It’s very sketchy they don’t put prices any where. Try surfs up in Aurora way better price on the wings.
I have been getting chicken here for more than 10 years and they are the best Harold’s in the Chicago area. Owners are really nice folks and I always enjoy chatting with them when I pick up my food. Moving away and I will miss them!
