Very hot inside the restaurant!
We had a bizarre and unfortunately terrible experience. We have eaten there many times not typical of our previous experiences, but hard to say what the future looks like. I had a reservation, but it took 15 minutes for them to seat us. The ceiling or vent work above our table was coated with cooking residue and began to drip on our napkins and menus. It was pretty gross. We were moved to a new table. Someone took our drink order and promptly got it wrong. They custom poured a drink we have had multiple times so we recognize right away that what was being poured was not what we ordered. They took them away, but obviously reused the drink shakers because the new drinks looked mostly like what we wanted but tasted terrible and like ingredients of the last drink. Then, we were just forgotten. Completely ignored. Other tables were seated around us. And they were fed. Then they left. We were still sitting there without any food. It was not until we basically decided to bail on the meal instead of to leave the people figured it out. We waited almost 2 hours from arrival time to being fed. It was terrible and bizarre.
The food was wonderful as always, but the experience was lacking. I was disappointed that I had included in the reservation snd told the waiter it was my daughters birthday. In the past there had been a lovely acknowledgement. This night there was nothing there was a lack of energy and fun that we had always enjoyed in the past.
We had a reservation but they were packed and obviously not honoring reservations.

This was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and they made accommodations for us as we wanted to be in a private area. Outstanding sushi!! Our waiter was so accommodating he even brought us a decorative small fruit platter for dessert! We highly recommend this place for any occasion! ????
So good! I’ve been going there for years and it’s just as delicious as before!
Service. Jin (sp) was was very good. The hibachi chef had been there for 25+ years and unfortunately didn't "entertain" as much as we have experienced before or from other places like Kiku. Threw one shrimp, did the steam volcano and flipped the rice bowl. The hibachi food was bland, sushi was very good however.
