I've been to about a dozen Japanese Steakhouses around the country and this one is by far the best. I take my friends and family here all the time because you really can never get enough.Try their teriyaki, it's homemade, and it's to die for!
❤ Highly recommend! Yes, I'll admit you might be taken back by the prices, but its worth EVERY cent! Not only do you get the traditional soup & salad, you also get shrimp and noodles, veggies and your main course with rice and ? mushrooms, or fungi as my group was saying (lol). Then you get 9ce cream too! I was beyond full and excited I have left overs for lunch the following day! My to go was so full, along with my stomach. They have some fun speciality cocktails too which others at the table couldn't resist a second, I suck to Kiren- a tradition at hibachi for me. Now, our chef! Kevin--what a hoot, he totally made the meal 200x times better, we were nothing but laughs and jokes the entire time he was making dinner! I have never seen the onion volcano the way he displayed it. He lit the ? from corner of the grill and moved to the volcano, what a show!!! Absolutely have to say THIS place knows what their doing! Highly recommend to anyone in the area, we were just traveling for work. More than worth the 15 minute drive, and beyond worth every penny!
Wonderful restaurant! The servers were very nice and accommodating. The food was very nice—the scallops the best we’ve ever had, and the steak beautifully done. Our chef, Kevin, was extremely friendly and we had a wonderful time being served by him, and other staff. Will return if we’re in town again! And from my partner, “i love you kevin xoxo”.
Unfortunately this restaurant was compared to one of my favorite restaurant. Chi-tung, and it was an complete insult. This restaurant was horrible. They serve not enough food, and no season at all. And to top it off the chief had a very bad attitude. When I asked about my steak being still on the grill, he replies, am I the cook or him. Very rude and nasty. Will never eat here again.
First time snd definitely will return!! Our chef was Kevin and he was extremely entertaining!! Best hibachi chef we have had in all of our dining experiences!! Appetizers included with our dinners were shrimp flambé and also teriyaki noodles! Both were great!!Entrees we had were garlic lobster shrimp combo snd golden shrimpBoth delicious!!
Rockbonki, Ichiban, Benihana... these are all the same to me. The staff is great, the show is great and the food was pretty good. It wasn't bad, I've just had better. If the "other place" wasn't around, I'd probably go back.
First time going to Rokbonki, food was great, chef was entertaining. We had the Hibachi shrimp, chicken teriyaki, fried rice, grilled veggies, and awesome noodles. I would definitely recommend this place.
Shrimp tempura appetizer and shrimp was way way too fishy. It tasted like it was marinated in sea water for days. We did not eat it. never had something taste like that before. Also ordered steak cook gave us more fat than actual steak pieces. It just wasn’t worth it.
Food was good but the lack of caring about customers is what gave the low stars. We had ordered our meal at 4:45pm and were told 45 min for pickup. When we arrived for the food we waited for 25 min before anyone asked what our order was. After they finally asked for our order number they told us the food was not cooked yet and it would be another 25 min. We finally had our food in hand 2 hours and 15 min after we had ordered. They did finally tell us they were down one cook and gave us a discount but that would have been nice to know way earlier. We could have decided to either keep our order or go elsewhere.
Chefs are super friendly and interactive. They were very amenable to a large group (15 in our party). Food was delicious and location was convenient. Great space and amazing service.
