Absolutely I love Mr Allison. I live in Schaumburg ,so it's a bit of a drive so worth it. The service awesome and the food it's amazing! You get enough food for two meals, at great prices .OMG the ham, melts in your mouth. This is a picture of their ham( they put chunks of ham?) and cheese omelette with my crispy,( I ordered them that way)potatoes. See what I mean, two meals..ENJOY?❤️

My husband and I have been coming to Mr. Allison’s (aka Mr. A’s) for years! We have never been dissatisfied! Every dish is made to order and is delicious! Favorites include their Eggs, hash browns & Ham medallions, French Toast, chicken noodle or split pea soups, and grilled ham and cheese! Their ham medallions are the most delicious ham you could ever have and practically melts in your mouth! While the Interior is basic, their food and great service makes the restaurant warm and inviting every time!

This place has the best ham ever. You can buy it by the pound, as well as ham bones for making congee or stocks and soups.I guess the rest of the food was good too.... Very generous portions. Make sure you ask for the potatoes well done and crispy, because their default is to make them only 'done'.

Can we say HAM ON THE BONE??? This is the holy grail for those who kiss having your coffee endlessly refilled at a classic diner. All the egg and pancake and breakfast options are there along with fresh juice, and they are done to 1950 standards (which means classic and impeccable quality and cooking). A time capsule so busy that it is likely to go on well into the 23rd century. A must see...breakfast as good as what Lou Mitchells used to serve...five stars unconditionally recommended for what anyone dreams that breakfast should be. Buy some ham on bone with your meal and several pounds to take home. Did I mention that Mr. A's has a world class version of split pea soup loaded with ham of course? Greek diner hospitality at its best.

I went the other day for the guys at work. I called it in about 15 minutes before I got there. I had 7 orders that day. It wasn't ready when I got here but they said 5 minutes and the girl on the phone said 20 minutes anyway. They had everything ready right on time. The waitress asked if I needed all the works forks butter sat and pepper. The food was one of the best breakfast places in the northern suburbs. The Ham is off the bone and really good. Do yourself a favor and get over there and get some of the best food around !!

Awesome place. The Ham is second to none here. I got a ham sandwich, however my fiance got a ham omelette. For the price we were both blown away by how much food you got. If you are in the area do not miss out on this place you will not regret it.

Best place to go for breakfast and lunch , huge portions, Great prices for all you get . You can get their ham and pies for the Holidays. I once bought 5 meat lovers skillets , for my family's Christmas Breakfast , enough to feed 12 adults. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed.

Had the skirt steak special. Finely chopped skirt steak on toasted garlic bread, basted eggs and a rich and creamy hollandaise sauce topped with thin and crispy onion rings. It came with hash browns. A very generous portion of food. Mr A's never disappoints.

Soon as you walk in the door, you can smell that something delicious is cooking. Too bad I don't know the name of the plate that smells delicious. So about $30 for two people, got a market omelette & egg benedict (had to try the King-sized ham $6 it's mouthwatering good) with a decaf coffee. Good service the resturant has dividers & hand sanitizer they clean between customers but face mask are not required. It was a bit crowded & with good food that's not a surprise. Come & try it out if you are a hungry person, who is available in the day because they close @ 3 pm.

This place has great ham! It's a little sweet, but savory with a nice salty taste.Busy place on the weekend. 15 min wait time on a Saturday at 10:30am. Old style fashion decor. A little cold in here, but boothes are in good shape and they still have a counter to eat at which I love! They are short staffed so ticket time for a group of 3 was 20 min which wasn't too bad.Spanish omelette was nice. Not enough salsa though. Made with a generous 4 eggs. Greek toast is great; a thick piece of bread!Nice service. Bus boy comes around cleaning, but they are busy so they aren't able to stop by more than once.Great place overall!
