We have visited Cooper’s Hawk on many occasions and we were disappointed with our last visit. Our server was very nice but the way food was delivered was very disappointing. 2 of 3 soups came out, the 3rd arrived about 10 minutes later. 4/5 entrees came out and the 5th was about 10 min later. I can better understand a time lapse between entrees but between soups? A bottle of beer came after the initial soups came. It was ordered with other cocktails and when apps were ordered. So as a result, we waited to toast, we waited for all to get their soup, and we waited to eat until everyone was served. Not exactly a fine dining experience. The risotto was swimming in grease and it looked like they had used the bottom of the pot. Other entrees seemed much better. Portions have definitely shrunk. On a positive note, the pretzel bread was warm and fresh.

Love the bruschetta and drunken shrimps! I could make a whole meal out of these two items. The short rib was not as tender as we would have liked, but still good. I think our server was in training - confused over gin cocktail (they had ‘sapphire’ but not ‘Bombay’??), forgot to add a coupon. We were waiting at the table to point out the missing coupon, but no one paid attention… spoiled the entire dining experience at the end, and that’s really sad.

The waitstaff is fantastic! The only issue we had was my food and my mothers was cold. Everyone else enjoyed their dinner selections.

We had a delish meal, and our waitress, who was new, was great! Her suggestions were spot on and glad we took her recommendations. Wound up joking the wine club and looking forward to the CH opening in Gurnee. Great atmosphere, service, and food.

Food cold service was really bad Never checked to see if food was hot The worst service ever We were there Thursday night too And everything was excellent Saturday night was the worse food and service ThNks ca me if u want 1-760-408-5800

We were not greated in a friendly manner. We arrrived 7 minutes early and were told we were 'early' and needed to wait. When we were seated (to an almost empty dining room) our table was located right under a vent, blowing ice cold air on our heads. The hostess took off quickly. The table next to us said that they had asked to be moved because it was too cold. Our Waitress eventually arrived and acknowledged it was cold. She got a male waiter to come over and help us move our table while he stood on a chair and tried to tape the went closed with packaging tape. It didn't work. At this point we moved our table a little farther away and didn't say another word. One suggestion for Cooper's Hawk - train your hostess' to great guests with a 'welcome' - don't make them feel bad for arriving 7 minutes early for a reservation. We are wine club members, not sure we will go back and dine at that location again.

Servers switched after We ordered Entrees. Was confusing for a moment. The booth We were seated at was directly in line with AC. Very Cold, and I should have asked to be moved. I will next time.

Pamela was our Server, this was her second week… She did a wonderful job of trying to meet all of our needs, however, I don’t think she had the support she needed as far as a bus person is concerned… These servers work very hard, I just wish there was more staff to help out. Food is good and generally the vibe in the restaurant is upbeat :-)

Grouper and swordfish was excellent. Good wine choices. If you walk out sober it’s your own fault!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Dimitri did a great job attending to our needs without being obtrusive. He made smart recommendations on the food and wine. I loved the barramundi and my husband had a delicious steak with the tuna appetizer. We enjoyed our visit so much we just cancelled our reservation at another restaurant to return to Hawk’s tonight.
