I can’t say enough good things about Black Bear Bistro! The presentation was stunning, the service was top-notch, and the food was spectacular. The items we ordered from the New American menu included delicious entrees like Quail & Venison with Roasted Poblanos, unique sides like Purple Yams with Goat Cheese, and unbelievable desserts like Jack Daniels Pie. It’s a wonderful place to dine for a special occasion or just a scrumptious night out.
So good! Flavor combinations I would not have expected, intimate atmosphere, very cute interior, friendly staff, and the owners (one of which is the head chef) checked in on every table. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely amazing! On par if not better than Region. Don't know anywhere else you can try kangaroo, ostrich, and elk!
There's a nice setting but unfortunately, food is average. My expectations where high when I first looked at the menu . Interesting and exotic meats with a Mexican flair using a variety of spices and ingredients from the country. Chef is adventurous but bland and without character. Seems like he is expecting that these exotics and Mexican tricks will do the work for him. I am not impressed and I highly doubt I will return. Not because you can drive, it means you can win a grand prix.
This is an incredible gem of a restaurant. I met a girlfriend who I haven't seen in two years, we were looking for a place that was quiet. It is small but mighty! It probably has 10 tables in total. We both had great service, and our meals were out of this world! I had the salmon stuffed pablano, she had the blackened shrimp with crusted ahi tuna and tortilla crusted salmon ?. The flavors were unique and so good, plating was beautiful. We then had the lightest, most delicious cheesecake. Estela the owner and Henry were the most attentive and wonderful people. Estela was most gracious. I highly recommend this place for a great night out!!!
I love this place! It’s perfect for a petite gathering Of friends, a romantic dinner with the one you love, or a simple quiet dinner alone. The food is delicious and very, very high quality. In fact it is the best food that I’ve found in the area. My sister and I have been there twice and I can hardly wait to go back with my husband.

Had a fabulous dinner tonight after a long day of work from out of town. Loved everything, from the food to the cozy dining room to the friendly and engaging staff. The sampler of soups brought me in, and everything else will bring me back…I can’t wait to visit again.
Phenomenal dinner tonight! Food was delicious-filet cooked to perfection. Staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, as well as enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. Will be back!
