great portions and food was fresh! not a fan of the chicken rice soup, it was very bland like boiled chicken water and rice with ground chicken just on top. not horrible but not good. everything else we were satisfied with. server forgot drinks but was nice and apologized. it was my mom's birthday so we tried it for the first time. she was nice and said happy birthday to her. they need almond cookies per my now 72yr old mother
We have been going to this restaurant off and on for 15 years. Well appointed restaurant, varied menus, good table service, good recipes.Recently placed a take-out order of one of their more expensive specialty offerings called Hong Kong Steak.Described on the menu as “juicy steak grilled to perfection with oyster sauce or black pepper sauce. No other ingredients mentioned.At home we found the steak grilled to the consistency of leather, the steak’s T-bone (to give the impression you are receiving more meat than is edible. A very fine oyster sauce and a garden of broccoli that was never mentioned on the menu.I called the manager/owner and told of my disappointment of the overcooked steak and over abundance of broccoli filler. The reply…”you should have told us when you phoned in the order how you wanted the meat cooked. And we always include SOME vegetables with our dishes.I asked for a credit for my next order. Nope!There won’t be a next order

1. I ordered Mongolian beef, I got Mongolian Onions ( I counted 4 pieces of beef). Lol2. I think their understanding of large and almost everyone else’s is different. I wonder what their small is? Lol barely enough for two people.3. To top it all off, ordered over $70 worth of food. Asked for hot chili oil, add on .50 cents lol. No biggie but kinda sad to nickle and dime on that stuff.

Horrible experience on Christmas eve! They promised my pickup order to be ready at 5pm then they LOST MY ORDER when I came in to get it! Many customers also complained about the lack of organization and helpON A HOLIDAY! This place has really gone downhill in general over the past year! What a disappointment!Thank God for CHINA DRAGON! cheaper prices , great staff, better food! Don't waste your time or money at GOURMET HOUSE!
Had the Combo fried rice with the veggie and meat egg rolls, and I must say it was on point. I don't just recommend any fried rice, but this place is worth a look-see
Husband ordered this For us and it was awful! We were just trying this place because our usual favorite was closed last night and we really were craving Chinese food. There wasn’t a lot of meat in the dishes we ordered. We ordered beef lo mein, cashew chicken, pork fried rice, pot stickers and veggie spring rolls. The lo mein only had a few pieces of meat on top and the rest was just noodles. The cashew chicken had a lot of veggies and very little chicken. The pot stickers we ok at best and the spring rolls lacked flavor. Everything tasted oily as well. Right after having dinner we both felt beyond nauseous. We thought it was maybe a fluke coincidence but I tried eating some leftover fried rice that we also ordered for lunch today and here I am nauseated again.
