Walked in behind a large family. I ended up in line for over 30 minutes. At what point do you decide to open another register? The food was good, but almost everything was empty. You have to stand around for a good 5 to 10 minutes to get what you wanted. Pizza is a very popular item for kids, I don't understand why they don't invest in making larger amounts at a time. It's gone as soon as it comes out. Love their steak and shrimp. No Crackers for the soup. Had to search around for spoons. Bathrooms were a mess.
I don’t usually like buffets but i have to give them 5 stars!!! When we went they were short staffed but you would have never guessed that. The manager was working with the staff making food. The staff although you could see may have been a bit tired they never let us know it. Whenever we asked for anything the staff was sooo friendly. I wish i remembered the name of the young man who cleaned off our table and ran to get us whatever we asked for no matter how busy he got. Great array of food. I have been to the one in Elgin and this one by far takes the cake... we will definitely go back.
My husband and I stopped at Golden Corral in Algonquin to have a late lunch the food look awesome but it wasn't even warm let alone hot. I told the manager I told the cashier. They heated up my brussel sprouts the butter still didn't melt. I tried the chicken I tried the steak I tried the ham the mashed potatoes and gravy everything that was on the heat table was barely warm. It was a waist of money ,these days its not easy to go out We can't afford it. I don't understand how they can serve food when it's not at temp.
I have been to several of these buffets, and this one was the cleanest. Food was good, but some servings were dry. (Too long on heat).
Food was on Point!! Clean restaurant, clean bathrooms, the hospitality was above and beyond. SHOUT OUT TO Carlos the Manager he is the best!! Very welcoming and cordial! And SHOUT OUT TO OUR WAITER Dominic!! Best server I've had at a golden corral!!! Keep up the hard work!!! Annnnnnd last but not least!! THE MUSIC!!! MOTOWN FAVS!!!!! WAS A GREAT NIGHT AND GREAT FOOD!!! Thank you for dinner!!!!!
The selection of food was very limited. There were adequate amounts to eat but some were dried. For almost $18.00, we were expecting better.
Either food was over cooked or undercooked. Selection on food very limited. Went first time around food was undercooked then they gave us a coupon to return for a 2nd chance and tried to charge us when the coupon clear stated Coupon Valid for Meal & Drinks and they tried to be like o one or another I'm like nah then sat down and food was undercooked and over cooked mash potato Gravy extra watery who can mess up mac & Cheese apparently this place can. Cake was undercooked rice and some other stuff were old and not fresh. Salad bar was NASTY fish was over cooked and was sitting there way to long
Our server was awesome. Guy with curly hair. Pardon me if you see this I forgot your name but you were a very nice guy and made our evening at Golden corral even better than tye food was already making it
Food was decent forbthe price the my pleasure thing they say for everything is weird though and kinda makes you uncomfy, some food was cold and desserts were lacking. But this place is usually good just havnt had the best time the past few times selection/variety and taste wise compared to before.
Used to be my favorite location. Seems like it’s going downhill. My wife had to go up to front cashier and have our drinks refilled all but one time. I could see if it was busy and packed but there was only 5-6 other people in restaurant and 4 of them were on the opposite side with a different waitress. Our waiter literally had two tables (6people) to wait on and I kept having to pile plates higher and higher until I just started putting them on table next to us.
