Sorry but worked in the industry for over 10 years and worked over 12 hours today. Looking forward to good pizza and some appetizers but was told pizza only, due to short staff. I get that nobody wants to work nowadays but one deep dish pizza for $35. Not right. Just a shame that they lost a customer for for 32 years. Been eating their pizza since I was in diapers. It's a shame that that's what this world has come to. Too long of a wait. Too high of prices. Nothing but pizza. Again it's a shame.
Terrible service staff has no clue what they're doing. Management is rude on friendly. Pizza made wrong. Would not replace or refund. Headed you with the credit card company. Also their hours varies so much. You have no clue. They're ever opened or closed. I would drive a little bit farther to Lou malnati's where at least they've got friendly staff helpful staff and they know what they're doing and their hours are consistent.
I’m all in for your good food, however your location has been short staffed for months and it’s reflecting poorly on your restaurant. I saw the no dine in awhile back and it’s still going on. Now you can’t even make your salads? Come on. As legend John Taffer would say, I think it’s time to “shut it down”.
My favorite pizza place of all time. Consistently great pizza. I love eating here.
Me and my family were looking forward to eating pizza, Three people in the front cash register when we walked in and they said we cannot dine in today because they are short staff while all three of them on the phone????? Wow unbelievable, thank you Giordano’s for your Service…
This is always a very dependable stuffed pizza. Very tasty and filling. For a small spinach they came in just above $20, which seems to be a bit high compared to their competitors. A few months back, I tried to call and put an order in. There was no answer. I tried a few more times over the next few weeks same results. I even tried to send an email to corporate to find out what happened to them, no response from corporate. Finally someone at the restaurant answered the phone, when I asked them where they been, they said they had staffing issues. Totally understandable, but how about putting a recorded message on your phone system?
Ordered pizza at 5:10. We were told 50 minutes. I walked in at 6:10 giving them an extra.10 minutes. Upon walking in I was told 10 more minutes, which turned out to be 20 minutes. I walked out with my pizza at 6:30. I don't know why I couldn't be told that it would take 80 minutes. We have always enjoyed the pizza, but it seem like the economy has reduced the thickness of the pizza. I will be going to tge lake zurich store. Last time I went there the pizza was terrific!
We were incredibly disappointed tonight with our pizza. Was lukewarm out of the hot box for starters and I don’t typically care about that but it’s worth noting. The pizza was just not giordanos pizza I remember ever having, and the last pizza we got from this location was great. I don’t now if the crust has changed or because of inflation and cheese prices they’re skimping on ingredients, but the sauce and cheese reminded me more of Lou Malnatis. Growing up in the suburbs of chicago we’ve tried so many giordanos locations and it was always consistent. This was not giordanos pizza. I think them being closed because of staffing difficulties has really taken a toll on this location and it’s really sad because my fiancé and I love giordanos.
Unacceptable... I called this Giordano's 9 times today and each time i was hung up on. Even the website says they don't accept online orders at this time.. I will not be returning to this Giordano's location which is really disappointing.
Not horrible, but the staff needs training. Food was good even with the slow unresponsive service (seemed likely due to poor or very little training). One employee was quite obviously terminated while waiting on my dinner as the entire restaurant heard the exchange. Spoke with the owner before leaving and understood his frustration with a problem employee but i don't agree with the verbal exchange done where the entire restaurant can witness. I really hope to return and maybe give them another chance as this may have been just a really bad day for all involved.
